This thread would be about Russell, but he didn't play and he wasn't on the bench. He may be hurt, but I didn't hear. Meanwhile Sogndal had a man sent off and got blown out, 3-0 and I don't think it was as close as that. His replacement was rated a 3.
despite its record, lyn is probably the second best team in norway though they had a terrible start. losing to them down a man isn't so bad, especially on the road. i'll see if i can find out why he was scratched.
i found out why he missed the match--accumlation of cards. both he and their central defender missed the match. i talked with per egil swift, the former Lyn captian who starts in midfield for lyn. he said that russell has improved massively and is now considered one of the 3 best right side defenders in the tippeligen. he said he has impressed all over the league.
