i really think that ruso should leave and we shoud give the chance to profe cruz form atlante. look what he did with the sorry atlante. we need a coach like that hasproven that can make a team good no matter if they got good players or not.

coaching a club like America is not the same as coaching a club like Atlante.

America has players on the bench that would start in other teams. Coaches have had problems with the egos before. Tena did not know how to handle Piojo Lopez, Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Matias Vouso, Nelson Cuevas, etc. Like the cliche goes, more money more problems. The same is true with America, a coach has more to deal with.

Some coaches just do not perform well when the press is constantly attacking you every move.

truth be told...pepe cruz is the flavor of the month. If he can build upon his success, by all means, I would welcome the idea.

But lets not forget that last season was his first winning season. besides his first season as a coach where he had close to a 50% winning percentage, his teams had accumulates more losses than wins.

yeah but he has proven that he can coach in the liguilla. unlike ruso and tena. i say if we lose to tecos today or lose the classico then ruso out and get a interim so we can get profe next season or another choice is the coach of san luis.

proven? If you mean that he has won a liguilla, then yes, he has proven it. However, he has not proven anything over a period of time. Neither has Ruso, but it is pointless to relieve Ruso of the job at this juncture.

    RUSO ALL THE WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY babyyy!

this guy is a genius, he knows how to handle a group, we just have to give him time and support, he is not the problem the problem is la directive, that brought him players he didn't even ask for , RICHARD AND HIGUAIN, , if we keep him through next season he will definately let go, oscar rojas,, german villa, ,rodrigo lopez, higuaian, gringo castro, those are the players that are messing up our team.

After all the drama America has lived the fact is that El Ruso was able to make 7 out of the 8 points America achieved this shame season.

There is no way to blame El Ruso for what has happened to America. Only its administration is there to blame. The only I feel sorry is that during this time that El Ruso left ESPN, the whole news staff has been filled up with Anti-Americanistas news people. I wished El Ruso had never lost its place as a sports news person. May be JRF would never have touched ESPN.

I still do and believe me, even in spite of this version of JRF lite, it is still very painful to hear his comments or driving the program as if he was still the king of TV Apesta. ESPN really took a step backward hiring this 'Amargado'

Hi there, I am from Louisiana! Thanks for replying so quick

america has 8 points since the season started..........and those 7 points are from Ruso..... i think Ruso could of done something positive if he came in a different time, it was just the wrong time for everythiing, in any level in the institution.

Well, the easiest thing to say is to blame everybody, but the analysis has to be deeper than that.

First of all, something that never made sense to me was the fact that America looked into el Ruso as a way to look for a change from what Lapuente had been doing with America in the past years. And the second thing if they decided to go with Ruso, why did they fire him so early in the tournament. I mean, Ruso was not even there for one full season. To me this was a very premature decision from the administration in the first instance to let the inexperienced Ruso to lead such a big change, and on the second big screw up, was to fire him at the beginning of a season. Come on, the fact was that Guillermo Canedo never liked Ruso to be the coach, but he never took the responsibility to oppose the initial hiring of Ruso. If Canedo never believed in Ruso, why did he allow his hiring. Another thing that should never, ever happen and I agree with Antonio Carlos Santos, what is Romano doing in America losing so many games? That is something that no Americanista, not even his father would allow to happen. Romanos is the one who arrived at the wrong time. The players are mad at the administration, Romanos is just trying to maintain a job there, but there is little he can do to score goals.

These Americanistas don't have the guts to make things happen, because the coach, nor the administration have the guts to make important decisions. This is why Emilio Azcarraga needs to accept the resignation of Guillermo Canedo Jr. and bring a new administration to start the restructure of America. America has nothing to lose in the subsequent tournaments. There is no way that America will ever have a worst season than this. The Summer of 2008 for America will be remembered for ever.
