he's resigned from the Ajax management board, press conference this afternoon but the media think he's going to Bayern.

Absolutely absurd, Magath will be given much more time with Bayern after getting the team to play better. Van Gaal is terrible, I never want to see him at Bayern.

Van Gaal at Bayern? Yes maybe when Lothar Matthaeus becomes Bondscoach...

Johan: what's your take on van Gaal? Did this guy lose his mojo or what? What happened? And what is it with Dutch coaches, trainers, old players and the Dutch public. Do they ever agree on anything besides 4-3-3? Everybody has the right answer for Holland --right? Isn't democracy great?

Besides the positive feedback on Marco's desire to return to the "attacking" ways, what is the reaction from the public to him--as coach? I know he was revered as a player. Does this give him a little insulation from criticism? And what would be a measure of success for the National Team now?

Noway, Magath is going with the team onto the right path so he should be given his full chance in Munich specially that Van Gaal is not that good.

Van Gaal is an arrogant, argumentative barsteward, that's how Dutch people think of him. We'll never forgive him for failing to qualify for the WC 2002. He's what we call the 'school teacher' type of manager, i.e. very good at bullying young footballers into a good performance with absurd discipline, but that approach won't work on grown up professionals.

Under Advocaat, the Dutch fans lost faith in the national team. It was no longer a 'real' Dutch team, they played like any other nation, there was nothing uniquely Dutch about it anymore. That's why the Dutch FA decided to do something about it. They hired Van Basten, Cruyff's favourite, and a strong advocate of the traditional 4-3-3, and they made him sign a contract telling him to play dominant, attacking 4-3-3 football.

And the Dutch fans love it. We particularly like that Van Basten doesn't select his squad on the basis of reputation - selecting Dirk Kuijt rather than Patrick Kluivert for example. As a result we've now got an incredibly committed team, there's great spirit and positivity. This is probably the squad with the least quality players in a long, long time but I can see them do great things because of that positivity. You won't recognise the new Oranje in any case with all them domestic league players!

So when is Van Gaal going to lose his citizenship? ;)

It would be nice for Holland to have a "team" again. I have always said that the US, eventhough we lack the quality or star power, play better as a team than a lot of these powers. The players love/respect Bruce Arena and gets more out of them. Obviously you are excited about the potential of the new Oranje - enjoy and good luck!
