Was glad Westham was relegated just for the fact that they signed him.

Too bad that he will be at St. James - the fans there deserve much better than Bowyer.

While I defer to no-one in Bowyer-baiting while he was wearing a Leeds shirt, it should be pointed out that he was found NOT guilty in the Leeds city centre "affray" incident.

    Unlike Jonathan Woodgate, for example.

If it was up to me, we would not sign him. It is, however, up to Sir Bobby.

If he does come to the Toon I am prepared to let him start with a clean sheet as far as off-field (and on-field - he has a six-match suspension in European football for stamping on the head of a Mallorca player) behaviour is concerned.

If he does join us, let's hope that the example and calm guidance of Sir Bobby changes young Lee.

Well, he comes at the right price.

I've got a long list of midfielders I'd rather have.

Perhaps a terrible accident will happen on his way to Newcastle. I must say I'm disappointed but I'll still support the club.

I heard the nudie bars in the Northeast are hiring extra security :). What's the over/under on Red Cards vs. "investigations" for the team now?

Seriously though, I can't see how this is a benefit to the team unless Robert is truly gone, and they're not counting on Speed. Viana, Jenas and Dyer are locks for the next few years at least. Bowyer, while he tries hard, has never impressed me as a solid player, and is prone to the Bellamy/Smith reaction card. This team had better install some discipline and fast.

    Thx,

    Jay!

You know, before this whole Bowyer crap the only player that Newcastle fans would occasionally shake their heads over was Bellamy.

Geordies and simple fans alike could always take pride in the members of our club, in paricular the recent strides of success made under one of our own, Wor Bobby.

    And now, Bowyer.

Robson did express a desire of looking to ManU and Arsenal as the sides that we needed to match in order to achieve ultimate success. I guess this means picking up players that we'd rather just see cast off to rot in a ditch.
