ok, i'm the guy who rarely posts, but reads. the guardian is saying that since tigana is on the way out at fulham and al-fayed wants someone (like moyes) who can rebuild the team effectively, that reading's coach should be the man. this would seem to bode well for hanneman, who's name i'm misspelling like a hack. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,1563,922781,00.html
true enough, but the article is saying that al-fayed is looking to cut costs and have a coach bring in unknown but talented players. hanneman would seem to fit that bill. you have to imagine his coach likes him at this point.
Fulham may have too many bad memories for Marcus. I think he just got the last splinters from his time on their bench out of his butt.
Slightly off-topic, but why does al-fayed care about cutting costs? I thought he was the Paul Allen of England (you know, happy to spend a ton of money on a very mediocre team)?
He doesn't want a mediocre team. He thought he could buy success but it's turned out to be a little more complicated than that. Plus all the nonsense over the redevelopment of Craven Cottage and the current ground sharing hasn't helped either.
