    - Christian Gross to Schalke 04? Apparently Gross has been contacted by Schalke's manager Rudi Assauer. By the sounds of it, he would like to go. Coaching in the Bundesliga would be a new challenge for him, and Gross loves challenges. Gross also admited to talks with Aston Villa during Easter.

    - Richard Nunez to Basel? This whole rumor was started by a small local Basel newspaper. Nunez and GC denied it right away. "Not in their dream" was the response by the GC management. President Widmer thought it was just another try by Basel to cause chaos at GC before the deciding match against YB. When faced with the question, Basel admited that they would be interested in Nunez if Hakan Yakin leaves.

    - There might be interest from the EPL for Chipperfield, while there could be interest for Atouba from France...

    Actual facts
GC released four players for next season:

    - Antonio Barijho
    - Sebastian Rozenthal
    - Marc Hodel
    - Andreas Gerber

I have read H. Yakin linked to everyone from Liverpool to Athletico Madrid to Celta Virgo to Aston Villa. I imagine that if Gross were to go to the EPL, he might persuade H. Yakin to go with him.

I wonder how much of the current Basel team will be back.

There was rumored offers for Rossi and Giminez from Spanish and Italian clubs.

The question come to this. Does Basel want to emerge as a bigger player on the Euro stage, or are they willing for a good European season every few years. If they want to become a larger player, they had better not sell their big name players.

What is that! If you are going to post things like that, we don't want you here. I know that you are new to bigsoccer.com, but that is not the way to get yourself noticed.

    Hey FcB-oWnAgE,

We want you to post on these boards, but if you take a notice at them, they are constructive. No attacks are allowed. There is a section for that, as IASocFan mentioned, but we try to keep it friendly here.

It would be great to have a Basel fan posting often, giving us your perspective. SwissGCZ and CJCourtney are GCZ fans, I am a Servette fan. We get along happily. There are others who post occasionally, and very good disscissions result.

Please post again, but do it by the rules.

    Forget this:
Gross resigned today until the end of the 2005-2006 season. He also does not have a clause in which he can leave. 2006 would be the perfect time for him to take over the National Team job! Right after the World Cup, and in preperations for Euro 2008.

Awww.....no fun - I missed the first troll ever (naturally a Basel fan). Was it really that bad? I personally would welcome a little rivalry on this board...

FcB-oWnAgE, you're lucky IASocFan and his moderator axe got to you first. I would've sunk you like the Titanic...

    Oh, and before I forget:
