In the LA-KC game, Cien received 2 yellows, does this not always equal a red? Thanks for any clarification anyone may provide.
I am guessing it was just an oversight by the stat crew since it seems tohave happened after the whistle. The stats package the communications office has Cien listed with one red card for the season.

Cien was subbed out of the match in the 87th minute, so he was a substitute. He approached the referee in what's called the secure area after the final whistle and showed a yellow card for dissent and then the red card for a second caution. Players are not allowed to apporach the officials after the whistle in MLS. If you look at the report, it's listed as being shown at 97+. Last year, this would have been handled as an administrative caution. The card would not have been shown, but listed on the match report. This year, the policy was changed, so the referee has to show the card.
