This is the Rugby & Aussie Rules forum, which means Australian Rules Football, Rugby League and Rugby Union. If you don't like rugby then there are plenty of other forums to take part in like lets says soccer!!!!

Broadcasters Pursuing RWC Broadcast Right in USA

    By Alex Goff

Where can you see the 2011 Rugby World Cup on TV?

The ultimate answer may be a good one for American rugby fans. Too often the tournament has been available only on pay-per-view or online. But, perhaps prompted by rugby’s increased profile in the USA thanks to the Olympics, the USA 7s, and more TV coverage, there is now considerable interest from US-based broadcasters for rights to the 2011 and 2015 RWC.

Sources say that while several broadcasters have expressed interest, leading the way are ESPN and NBC-Universal. Both are aggressively seeking to secure US broadcast rights. Word is that a decision is due soon.
