actually i know when they hate the refs even after a win/ as a liverpool fan i remeber the olympiakos game, it was a great victory for us, but we were all pissed because the ********ing ref disallowed two goals. and there was the first leg against chelsea which was a good result for us, except for the ref who booked alonzo. two games that were good results but i was pissed. and ******** another goal scored by the Metros
The 3 defender formations don't fly RSL has struggled, no question. However, the response to go offensive at the expense of the backfield has never worked with this group - if anything - it's backfired as the 3 defender formations have led to numerous goals, and defensive support from the midfield (especially when the dinosaurs are playing mid) has been lacking. Goal #2 from the Metrostars exemplifies this yet again. It's too bad, as RSL created numerous chances in half #1 before everything went to hell. RSL is actually better playing bunkerball and trying to counter. It's also too bad that Pope isn't available, since the RSL wall seems much more impermeable when he's manning the middle. His defense is good enough to make up for shortcomings elsewhere.
forgot to mention, Brown off for Tiger. Kreis had a free kick that was saved, Can hear the fans and the drums load and clear .

Re: The 3 defender formations don't fly Jaime's tired apparently. this is sounding like the chicago game=, where we started off promisingly but a combination of bad defensive errors and bad calls from the referee have lost us this game. i think our mantra for the rest of the season will have to be "at least we're not chivas" time to focus on the rocky mountain cup now.

Andy with a good cross for kreis who is called offside. RSL gets mad, clint tells the ref what he thinks of the call and gets carded.

Metros are wasting time, and burning time off the clock now that we are threatening, the ref letting it happen. great ball from Andy williams good run by Kreis but the defenders also make a great play. Great plays all around. even if we lose RSL has shown great fighting spirit against a 14 man metro team
