The defense continues to struggle and Javy's career year in this morning's Crunching the Numbers http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/09/crunching-numbers-san-jose.html
For my RSL Family series I had the chance to speak with Coach Kreis. He shares his thoughts on the RSL Family. There are some interesting quotes in there if you read between the lines. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/09/rsl-family-jason-kreis.html
I appreciate the blogs and updates. I am hoping for some new insightful news to the future of the club. Any word yet on Hansen's negotiations? I am encouraged that I heard he chartered the club to BC for today. I am not looking for an expose on events, more like bloggers POV on the subject of coach Kreis, NYCFC, the future possibilities. I would be interested in reading these. Maybe I am the only one.
RSL now has 9 players with 3 or more goals. Check out this morning's Crunching the Numbers for more stats coming out of the Vancouver match. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/09/crunching-numbers-vancouver.html
Wasn't it our B team that also got the first win in Canada, against Toronto back in June. Seems like we were missing a bunch of guys to injury and national call-ups.
Several starters weren't there in TFC true, and the winning and lone goal was by Mr Red Card, Yordanny Alvarez.
Here is the latest in my series in the RSL Family. This time I speak with Garth Lagerwey. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/10/rsl-family-garth-lagerwey.html
Here is this morning's Crunching the Numbers. Some great numbers for Chris Schuler and some really interesting numbers for Saborio. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/10/crunching-numbers-dallas.html
Interesting stats on the team's record when Sabo scores vs. doesn't score. Do you have the data to easily calculate the same stats for other forwards? I'm curious to know whether Sabo's stats simply reflect that the team does better when someone scores, or if his are indeed special.
Unfortunately I don't have that stat for the other players. I might have to see if I can find those numbers for the other forwards.
Here is a look at the struggles that RSL has had on holding onto leads and its effect on the supporter shield. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/10/what-might-have-been-missed-chances-for.html
Chris Schuler's return is showing great dividends for RSL in this morning's Crunching the Numbers. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/10/crunching-numbers-portland.html
Crunching the Numbers this morning looks at a bunch of year end team stats and some crazy numbers for Javy. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/10/crunching-numbers-chivas.html
I took an end of year look at RSL players to see how effective they were in the offense. I was not surprised with who was on top. I was surprised though with who was on the bottom. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/10/end-of-year-review-minutes-per-team-goal.html
Might be interesting to look at the season in parts of the season. Part I: Start of the Season Through mid-May when all the Int'l callups started Part II: The summer Part III: September - End Or maybe by months.
Here is my playoff edition of Crunching the Numbers. Check out some really killer stats for Big Dev. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/11/crunching-numbers-playoff-edition.html
This morning Pate takes a look at PDL and USL Pro and what affect they have on RSL. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/12/eye-on-academy-what-is-usl-pro-and-pdl.html
Here is my end of year review of the RSL defense. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2013/12/end-of-year-review-defense.html
After taking some time off writing for the off season, my blog is back. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-look-forward-to-2014.html
Here is my end of year review looking at the +/- stats for the team. Some interesting stats found in there. Would love to hear anyone else's analysis on the topic. http://ccb1212.blogspot.com/2014/01/end-of-year-review-plus-and-minus-of.html
