Nah, just sounds like a bunch of people that write on their dirty vehicles "I wish my spouse was this dirty". Just a bunch of wishful thinking.
Pablo Ruiz took himself out of the game today in the 22nd minute. Pablo said that he felt his calf go so hope its not serious. The guy can't catch a break.
Also, Pablo has mentioned that Diego Luna isn't near fit a couple times in the preseason. I asked him why and he mentioned he had a bug or something and did not have a good run up to camp. Bit of a red flag maybe.
Guess I’ve been wrong about the club not having an identity. “Tactical Uncertainty” pretty much covers the last decade except for the first half of 2024.
That was a really good interview. So no Emeka and no Ruiz for a while… if only we hadn’t sold our most reliable midfielder…. Super frustrating that Victor, Morgan, and Luna all came into camp not ready to go (not really sure the reasonings but definitely not a good sign from your main guys.) When preseason started Pablo was praising how fit the guys in camp were, but now with the starters in the tone has completely changed.
Pablo’s shown to have his teams peak to early more often than not, if not always. If the team isn’t good enough to push for a shield (nobody in their right mind thinks this team could) and you factor in the unique nature the World Cup plays on the season… well I’m fine being slower out the gate.
Thanks. I am really concerned about Luna. Youth and fame can have a negative effect on a player. I thought with the World Cup and stuff on the horizon Diego would be fitter than a fiddle but maybe it is stuff outside of his control. Eneli is 6-8 weeks out but we do have Caliskan tearing it up, right? When Pablo starts talking about not having a full pre season for prep and the challenge that is, all I can think of is 15 and the rest of you guys lamenting the same excuses season after season. I also try and remember all of the questions that are suggested here as well.
After the postgame yesterday I think I am a bit more concerned for some reason with RSL. Their first 15 are: At Van Seattle At ATL Austin At SD SKC At Seattle SD Miami at LAG PTFC at FCD Houston Colorado at Minn That is a bit of a gauntlet going off last season and this off season for some of the clubs. Atlanta should be better, LAG will be better, some clubs may not be dramatically improved and maybe even down like San Diego, Minnesota and Colorado but nothing is showing that RSL is even as good as last season. SKC might be the first game for 3 points. Maybe buy then players will be fit. lol
The excuse of fitness is on Pablo. It means the preseason expectations weren’t clearly communicated. Setting standards of fitness levels isn’t difficult, it was one thing Kreis absolutely demanded… which makes this even more confusing
Anyone know who the trialist is that played over the weekend? Is it Solans? I know they were referring to Solans as a trialist due to work permit issues earlier, but he's been mentioned in other RSL media. Did Gozo play RWB? Any news when Guilavogui will play? Any update on Sanabria and the U22 Arias?

So I was curious about the team form over the last 4 seasons. I chunked up the season into groups of 5 games, and used points-earned in those chunks to maybe show form. One is each season and the other is the “average RSL season” over the four seasons. Kind of interesting to see the trends
Rather compelling graphic highlighting the fact that RSL under Pablo doesn't know how to finish a season and trends in the wrong direction too often to end the season. Off the top of my head that looks to be a coaching/tactics/philosophy problem. Obviously other factors play into how a season goes but to see all of the seasons, minus Chicho, look remarkably similar is kind of worrisome. I am still in the wait and see portion of my 2026 fandom but if you asked for odds on whether or not Pablo M makes it to the end of the season I would lean less than 50/50. If there was ever a season that needed to trend in the right direction this might be the one. One more season that dies on the vine might be all she wrote for Pablo. Maybe Schmid too but I think he might make it through to hire his own head coach considering that he did not hire Pablo. We shall see.
