I can't speak on who made what call for getting these coaches back on with RSL but I can agree that it's not a great look. Doesn't fill me with confidence. I am hoping that before the season is over we will have an answer on whether or not RSL made the right call in keeping Pablo. If you ask me today, before any new signings, I would say it's less than 50/50 Pablo finishes the season at RSL because this roster is not something to write home about. It could all change if the signings are a hit rather than a miss. Even then I don't know that Pablo has what it takes to be anything more than what he is, an average, middle of the road type coach.
No Beckerman? I thought for sure the timing of him leaving UVU was leading to an announcement with RSL.
At least we're not hyping coaching hires for our opponent's teams. It's a step in the right direction.
I played club ball with Hickman. Hes a good dude and has a really good eye for tactical efficiencies. Happy to see a kid from Utah get promoted through the club
Watching other clubs I support - Milan and United - burn through past club legends has really soured me on the idea. I don’t want Beckerman to suffer the same thing
So with Müller at Vancouver and Werner at San Jose, a club like RSL getting a “name-recognition” type player seems like an actual possibility. Just curious what you guys think? Would you want to see a Cristian Eriksen, Ivan Perisic, Alexis Sanchez, Aubameyang or someone along those lines retire in an RSL kit? (Just picking some random guys around Muller’s age) Of course would rather have 3 in-their-prime DP’s, but if we aren’t going to do that, then maybe something like that could be fun?
awesome! Joe was a baller. I’ll never forget him flying into tackles on gravelly pavement at pick-up street soccer at the Albertson’s parking lot in South Ogden. Haha
It has to make sense for the market. A Mexican international would be very logical and fun. I’d take any DP right now
If I were a betting man I would think that there might be decent odds on a DP signing during RSL's visit to Portugal. But I have been wrong before.
Is San Diego willing to pay some of the wages if we took Lozano off their hands for the season? I don't know what it takes to free up the DP slot.
Millers are billionaires Them negotiating a DP in the low millions is like trying to barter a loaf of bread from $3 to $2 at the farmers market for you and me
Diogo has removed all RSL references and pictures from his Instagram (found this on the RSL subreddit and then double checked Instagram). Is he on his way out? Do you know something we don’t?!

Yeah. Big thought: Clearly said Diego Luna was being given the keys. Trying to play more balanced instead of relying so heavily on the LB. Not impressed with the new mantra, but if it works, cool. I hate the corporate speak.
So, Luna will be at the 10 and playing centrally. Given all the wingers on the roster, they have to be going to a more traditional 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3, right? No way they go to a diamond or two forward system. They'll have to get the outside backs forward I think, they just don't have enough attacking talent, so they need numbers forward. Hopefully this isn't the return of lobbing balls into the box.
That's a bold move for a team with 4 CBs and an expensive RB whose former team didn't want him because they played with 3 CBs
Speaking of that, rumor is that Engel is in. Once we got past the holidays, I figured that wasn't to be. Nice surprise IMO.
I know that Diogo is a professional and is with the club currently. I'm sure that with how things went last season that both sides, Diogo's team & RSL, might be looking for better options that will work for both sides. I don't know anything beyond that but with how Diogo played last year who the hell would want him? Or at least who would be willing to pay him enough to move on from RSL? Maybe he's around all season, maybe they buy him out, who knows? I think it's pretty obvious that his time with RSL is coming to an end.
