Also about Chicho, why would he be practicing on his own during this suspension? Does this affect him being captain? This seems to point to an issue with the team and not necessarily the league, right?
Could this be the big summer transfer? https://www.givemesport.com/real-salt-lake-bid-for-czech-international-pavel-sulc/
From the article: Real Salt Lake have had multiple bids rejected by Viktoria Plzen for attacking midfielder Pavel Sulc, a target for their DP spot. Sources add that Sulc is one of a few final targets for Real Salt Lake’s open Designated Player (DP) spot. This seems like a great target but if they’ve already rejected multiple bids I wouldn’t get my hopes up
Two low ball offers at 2 and 3 million were rejected. If RSL is serious about this level signing they are going to have to get closer to the 6 million dollar price tag.
23 year old who scored 18 goals with 6 assists last season., and 2 goals in two matches so far this season Yes I would be willing to pay some money.
I think the best thing the fanbase can do here is take the teams league and just move on with it The speed of the acceptance of the suspension and everything else, just move on
It's hard to say since we don't fully know what he was suspended for. But I'm also one that believes we should move forward if someone truly tries to rehab. We all screw up at times, it's how we learn and go forward that should be judged in most cases
I can't speak for his career but last season and so far now look very good. I'd say it's worth throwing a bigger number at
All I’ll say is that I haven’t really seen him play, havent scouted him, and don’t have $$$ to personally throw at his team to persuade them to sell. I’ll trust that the Blitzer group has a fair idea what his worth and potential are in relation to the team’s overall strategy and goals. If it were DLH, I would not have such confidence.
Yet another example of the club not announcing player movement (it's a loan, btw). We're not asking for much, are we?
Nobody really holds them accountable or pushes them to be transparent The club should just do it because that’s what you should do
US U20's moved to the Concacaf final, beating Panama 2-1 today in the semis. Gozo was on the bench but did not play.
Gozo came on at halftime in the final and it's in extra time now. US scored around the 60th, Mexico in 90+7 to tie. Pretty uneventful for him so far.
ANNNNNNNND... Scene. Dos a Uno for those guys that shout hohphobic slurs at goal kicks, or to whomever whenever they are slightly unhappy. Had an epic family day today. Anything else I miss?
BREAKING: Real Salt Lake are finalizing a deal to sign attacking midfielder Diogo Gonçalves from FC Copenhagen as a designated player, per sources.Fee just north of $3m, sources say. DP search ✅Gonçalves, 27, had 11g/6a in 2,500 mins last season. https://t.co/OXbRJO6hqP— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) August 5, 2024 At 27 years old, he's no youngster.
Gonçalves is listed as an attacking midfielder, but almost every highlight is him playing out on the right side. Looks like they are preparing for life post Gomez/Luna with this addition and the Aussie.
Not to mention he's currently injured. I get prepping for post Gomez/Luna, but I'm not sure about this being one of the 2 DPs. Then again, there are lots of guys like L. Acosta that came to the league for around $3m. I'm curious what they pay him.
At Copenhagen his role was winger I think. Apparently he can adjust to different roles, which is a plus. (Effectively adjust? I have no idea)
