Brown is playing this game because our first choice RB (Hidalgo) is injured, the backup is playing CB because the other one is an idiot, and the third option went for most of the previous two games in a single week He’s not amazing, but he isn’t bad for what we needed
RSL has a chance at 2nd. LAFC have to lose next weekend at Vancouver and then at home vs SJ and Seattle have to lose at home in two weeks vs Portland.
He’s good, but he is really error prone at the moment. Hidalgo didn’t make the bench again. Goobx said the team thought his knock wasn’t much, but he was our RB up until August.
Are we sure Hidalgo is ahead of him when healthy? I think he should be, but I thought Brown got minutes over him a few weeks ago.
We can get 3rd, as both Portland and Seattle have had great 2nd halves of the season. No way is LAFC losing to SJE.
Big 2 points as it’s made home field for the first round a lock. The flip side is that to go up to 3rd or 2nd we need things to go our way. No more controlling own destiny
I can’t decide if I underestimated RSL or overestimated SJ in this game. Probably more the latter. They are terrible and RSL was barely better. Not a ringing endorsement but I’ll take the 3 points. RSL hanging on to 4th place doesn’t feel as good at the moment as it might have earlier in the season but perhaps it’s a harbinger of better things that they found the goal away from home. They get to end the season against a Vancouver team looking to jump out of the 8/9 play in game for sure. I thought I saw Dami announced his retirement but maybe we will see him one last time. Should be fun.
Wish he would have done that with us. I wonder where he’ll move? Anyhow, since leagues cup, RSL and Vancouver have been the worst playoff teams in the West, although our schedule has been much easier on paper. (Thanks to @Sounders78 for putting this together in the MLS N&A forum). West (in ppg) LA Galaxy = 2.43 Seattle = 2.38 Minnesota = 2.00 LAFC & Houston = 1.38 Colorado & Portland = 1.29 RSL & Vancouver = 1.13
He subbed in late as a right back last night. His contract runs through 2025; I don't see anything suggesting he is retiring.
