Say, we found a way to get on the national networks multiple times in the same season - all it took was a little virus! Game 1: RSL and Colorado, Sunday 12 July, 8:30 pm MDT, ESPN Game 2: RSL and Minnesota, Friday 17 July, 8:30 pm MDT, ESPN Game 3: RSL and Sporting KC, Wednesday 22 July, 7:00 am MDT, ESPN Play-by-play chatter and between games conversations here.
Or more: tonight's late game started almost an hour late due to lightning, which is hardly uncommon in Orlando in the summer.
My old man works for a local engineering firm (now purchased by a large engineering firm) that had a contract with NASA in the 90s and 00s. I would go to Florida every Summer for at least 2-3 weeks while he worked out there and watch rocket launches... this concludes the bragging portion of my post. Like clockwork, it rained HEAVY rain every afternoon/evening with at least 3-4 serious lightning storms a week. How we haven't had more games delayed or a cancellation yet due to weather is beyond me.
No clue what to expect out of a starting XI but if you make me guess I think it looks like this: Kreilach Meram Rusnak Baird Luiz Beckerman Toia Silva Glad Herrera MacMath I'd love to see Ramirez and Rossi on the pitch, especially at the top of the formation. No idea what Freddy will bring out there. Further, I got money on Freddy making single subs for the first two and then a triple sub late in the game just because.
Need this back in my life. Looking for to getting RSL back on the field. If the tournament doesn't fall apart in the next couple of days I would guess the bubble then stays secure enough to see this out.
Didn't hold but the better looking competition over the course of the game didn't pick up any points so many that's good. Maybe.
Assuming Meram, Johnson and Rossi likely early 2nd half subs depending on flow of the match. Mildly surprised with Douglas getting the start, but Freddy may be following the Adrian Heath approach to the match - just keep the ball in front of you in the first half, and open it up in second half. Rest of the lineup as I would have expected.
Bangkok for now. I've actually left my job so taking a bit of a sabbatical. No hurry to get back to the American Petri dish until after the new year if possible. Hope to be in Utah by late winter and maybe enjoy a nice stretch of RSL matches at home if 2021 season opens normally. Ask me again at this time next year and hopefully I'll be settling into a new international job...somewhere. Hopefully.
