Good grief. Damir just needed to breathe on that one, so subtle was the touch that was needed. Crazy good hustle for Jeizon to keep the shot from Martinez in play and recycle to Toia.
Yeah I'm not sure where Dunny thought that was a handball on the replay. I didn't see it. Either way, wasted opportunity.
Mighty disappointing to be sure. A momentum killer. Even something near the goal mouth would have been electric.
That's a mighty disappointing result. It's reminiscent of the old days of dominating teams but not getting the wins.
I think he's not alone. My absolute unprofessional opinion is that Baird rubs a lot of folks the wrong way on RSL. I get the impression he thinks he's a whole heck of a lot better than he really is and the team is tired of him. I know I am.
Was Rusnak only coming onto the field to take the free kicks? Because I couldn't find him the rest of the game.
RSL definitely deserved t a couple of goals but that's the way it goes sometimes. Also, Freddy with only two subs and the second sub was a giant waste in the 88th minute or so. That's a time wasting sub not a give the guy a chance to impact the game sub. Ridiculous. This is exactly what I expect the entire season and Juarez tenure so here we go.
perhaps. I just really dislike Baird. He also botched a great chance in stoppage time by kicking it out of bounds. did I mention I really dislike him and would trade him for a box of donuts and a white board?
I thought he was dangerous all game too - and I also thought he was bypassed a couple of times when open, as happened last week too.
Baird hustles. He always leaves it on the pitch. Rusnak is paid like 10 times as much and he just expects the ball will fall at his feet because he is invisible. I would rather have hustle and effort than lazy class.
yeah goob, gonna have to add to the opposite side of the argument here. In the second half, especially, Baird was the best player on the pitch. He constantly beat the left back for NYRB with ease. He isn't 90 mins fit yet - at least not for the respectable pace he wants to play at when the ball is at his feet - so that last long touch was understandable, but still frustrating. Still, this isn't a draw without Baird. We lose for sure without him out there. I'll let the game sit to do my 15 thoughts, but just a few quick bullets I'll expand on later: Besler is USL level Kreilach/Everton midfield looked good Rusnak wants to play LW, not AM Martinez should start up top asap. Ramirez made a (literal) burst onto the scene today and looks to be good and raw
