Time to get back at it again. New tagline courtesy of @DrownedElf is "Out with the Old, in with the Older."

No Burrito. No Olave. No Beckerman. No way?

RSL gets another tie on the road after going down only one man this time. 1-1 final score. Goal by Yura, red card by Glad.

First loss. Missing too many players.

5-1 slaughter. Kansas City plays a physical game and our players most capable of dealing with their crap are out this game. But I'll be cheering the boys on anyway.

This is like the Lakers playing the Warriors.

    There is a chance.

The biggest loss is Burrito. I think missing Olave is fine, and I think we can live with missing KB for a game. Burrito is just pure magic and help draw so much attention so that others can shine. I'd have a lot higher hopes for this game if it was just Olave and KB missing.

It's really hard to say how this game will go. Plata has been on fire, so if he can continue that we stand a chance. I'm going to guess that Olmes will slot into the right, with an outside shot that it goes to Allen. I would think Glad and Mulholland will be the other guys that fill in.

I have a feeling this will be another one of those games we barely use subs on. I could see one being Olmes or Allen depending on who starts, Sandoval being the second, and not even using the 3rd. My gut says we lose this one, but I'm really hoping we can at least get a draw.

RSL wins a wild one in a 3-2 cardfest. Zusi and Wingert get sent off, but SuKC gets the short end due to a dodgy penalty (called by the side ref) from whatever red-happy ref covers the game this week.

Not feeing to good about a result on this one, but hoping to see Glad step up and make a case to get more starts.

    XI I'd roll out:

    Nicky
    Tony Glad Maund Wingert*
    Sunny Luke
    Plata Javi Allen
    Yura

Bench: JeffA, Phillips*, Kavita, Stertzer, Olmes, Dev, Welshman???

I think Olmes is fitting the bill of a Robbie Findley in that he's the best sub option because of his attributes (speed) but not a good starter.
I also have no idea what to do at LB. Wingert has been solid and in a game like this you need someone with some veteran experience... but I'm still lost on how Phillips got so shafted.
Oh, and good luck figuring out that 18th man for the bench

Maybe #18 could be Acosta instead of Welshman (who I'd still like to see get on the field)..because we may need more than 1 midfield sub. Oh wait, it's Jeff. Put 5 forwards on the bench, Welshman's a lock.

So I see no official report that Burrito is missing this game.
I'm sure he is, and in typical Major League Soccer Soccer.com fashion they just haven't published it yet.

it would be very MLS like to suspend a guy and then forget about it because we had a bye week and let him play...

For me this is Cassar's biggest test so far this season. I'd like to see him continue to win me over but I'm not optimistic. I don't think we pull out a result regardless but how Cassar manages this game will be paramount. He needs to start the right people and make wise substitutions. I think Glad and Mullholland are locks to start which I'm fine with. Sterzer IMO looked better than Mullholland in the monarchs game but Luke is more tested and proven. The big question is who replaces Burrito. If he roles out Olmes over Allen because Allen is Javi's replacement I'll be upset. Allen is by far the better option and it would be stupid to not start him for any reason.

I am tempted too - supposed to be 66 degrees here, and since I have to work from 12-3 or so, that late afternoon slot is looking like an outside job to me.

Before we start freaking out let's remind ourselves that today is only Tuesday.

Stop with the sane and rationale talk. This is BS! We're supposed to freak out.

I haven't heard discussion of Morales being injured and out - might be just an extra off day for him.

Well - more info and it isn't good. Week 4 and RSL will be rolling out a team that's half backups. Looks like Allen is playing one way or the other.

It ONLY being Tuesday is plenty of reason to freak out

The XI I would use given this news:

    Nicky
    Tony Glad Maund Wingert
    Sunny Luke
    Plata Allen Olmes
    Yura

Bench: JeffA, Phillips, Kavita, Stertzer, Acosta, Dev, Welshman

Shitty week for Holness to have that injury. Not that the injury would ever happen at a "good time" but there is a real chance he could have seen minutes in this one. Definitely the 18

Start Welshman instead of Olmes. No need for someone running around aimlessly early in the match and it'd get Welshman his first MLS start and some real experience. Cassar will probably start Sandoval instead.
