I know there is nothing new in this article but it prompted me to think about what the future of Rowdies will be under their current ownership.

The status quo seems to be the best possible scenario. We get to stay at Al Lang, draw five thousand a game and be largely ignored by the media.

Would sharing a new stadium with a part time Rays team be better? I think it wouldn't. Still would be an afterthought by both media and our own ownership. Plus we would be in a stadium ill suited for minor league soccer.

The most likely scenario would be the Rays leave the area and where does that leave us? Sold for cheap to someone who doesn't have the juice to keep us going or simply folding.

Maybe it is the Covid-19 blues getting to me but I'm going to enjoy this season because I am not expecting a bright future.
