The 22-year-old winger is one of the hottest properties in European football and has been linked with Manchester United in recent weeks. Rovers boss Graeme Souness has watched the youngster several times and said last week that Pedersen "possesses great qualities, scores goals and is very talented". At that stage the Scot refused to say if he would pursue his interest in the player, but the Norwegian side have now confirmed they have rejected a faxed offer from Ewood Park. On Friday Rovers' chief executive John Williams told his club's official website, www.rovers.co.uk: "Pedersen is obviously a player who has interested us - so to have our offer rejected is disappointing."
