Rovers fans opinions of Friedel

Popular Rovers forum has a thread asking people to name the top 3 Rovers players this year. Every single one of them (except one jokester) has big Brad at the top of the list.

Some comments:

Not surprising that all the answers so far have put Friedel at the top...

So that's unanimous so far:
(1) Brad
Followed by some others. Couldn't agree more

My players of the season so far have to be:
1) Brad Friedel
2) Brad Friedel
3) Brad Friedel

anyway, Brad has been outstanding.....even with a dodgy knee and a poorly foot. I don't think anyone else has played so consistently this season

Quite simply the best goalkeeper I've ever seen.

I've no doubt we'd be at least 12 points worse off without him.

1) Friedel (by a mile)

I've never seen a discussion for a Player of the Year be so unanimously in favour of one person. Testament to the man I suppose. Have to agree with bob fleming - he is simply the best goalkeeper I've ever seen.

I'm always trying to find other keepers in the Premiership that have to be Brad's equal. Cudicini, Niemi, and Given and others have been very good at times, but Big Bad Brad is the best keeper in the world right now.

Not just a huge presence between the posts but good with his feet as well.

I think Friedel is very overrated and can't see what the fuss is.... aw go on. I couldn't keep a straight face.

I've got a proposal for you - you pull together the entire FRIEDEL MANIFESTO, I'll turn it into something that looks like the Declaration of Independence (in terms of font/style), and we'll get someone connected with Big Soccer in England to get Friedel himself to sign the Manifesto! I'm sure he'll do it if the Manifesto were actually auctioned for charity (as opposed to making money). I'd be willing to bid a guaranteed $200 to kick off the bidding...
