I agree that this weekend will do better.

We are one of the families that could not get there last
Saturday due to a Halloween party. (we did buy tickets and
    they were used)

Really looking forward to Saturday nite.

My ticket rep told me they had sold 10k as on Monday, so
    they were feeling quite optimistic.

I say 19k in DC....not a bad number given the media's lack of interest in United. You'd think with the team one win away from the finals and all of the other DC teams having losing seasons someone in the DC media besides Steven Goff would care.

That being said last weekend was one of the most passionate crowds I've ever been a part of at a DC game at RFK...hope for a repeat performance this weekend with a couple more thousand to add to the fun! Should be a really chilly night though...calling for lows in the 30s.

I picked up four tickets earlier this week and asked the ticket rep what he thought the crowd would be. He said they hoped to have 20,000 sold for the game but didn't give me an indication of how many tickets had been sold. That was Tuesday. William Gildea had a piece on the front page of the sports section in the Post that include a graphic showing the month-by-month goals scored and goals allowed by DC. I can't remember ever seeing that kind of analysis in the Post. There was also an ad in the front section of the Post advertising the playoff "black out." I think we'll have a great and loud crowd Saturday night. The weather forecast is sunny and low 60s in the day and low 40s at night. No rain. Should be good.

Yes, he hopes for that. I don't think it'll be that high, though. Let's hope for a big walk up crowd because there seem to be lots of tickets available through TicketMaser.

Kansas City Star announces that Ticketmaster set a one day record for selling Wizards Tickets on Monday...

Might be 15K at the game........ LA is a good opponent to draw some crowd.

United's front office is seriously promoting this game, I am expecting a good crowd.

I heard the Wizards/Ticketmaster record confirmed. It was a total of 37 tickets, for a new all-time single day high. They're hoping to break it today -- maybe get up into the low 40s.

I'm just really, really happy that I swallowed before I read your post. Wet keyboards don't work very well.

Well, according to K of the Screaming Eagles, all of their sections (they even got an extra one for this game) are completly sold out.

I expect La Barra Brava will have an excellent showing as well. Weather is supposed to be clear but somewhat chilly tommorow at RFK- I expect a good crowd of at least 17k, hoping for 20k+, and would be ecstatic if we can reach 24.6k, which is the sellout at reduced capacity. I think we can..just remains to be seen what the walkup will be..

LA Announcer on the radio says that he estimates tonight's crowd at KC is close to 20K. I'm curious to see if this is true.

I'm happy for KC and surprised if it is 20k, I thought it would be about 14 even with the $5 tickets. Official attendance # should be out soon.

Dude, thats pretty much what 12,000 people looks like. You are too used to the regular season numbers where a third of the announced crowd doesnt show up. The crowd was so so, but numbers wise they did alright tonight..

Crusio is correct. That's a legitimate 12k, though. No absentees.

LOL. Well with MLS you never know.
But I would ALOMST be willing to bet Monopoly money that the $5 ticket scheme should have drawn a HELL-of-a-lot more people than it did.

Their is no way that crowd was only 12k, just like last week that dc crowd was more than 15k. Theirs something wrong with these numbers.I thought the dc crowd was like 20k and i thought this one was like 19k.
