    match #108824597

real new york at minnesota timberpigs. wow - it looks like i might be winning my div. v series tonight! i'm four points ahead of the second place team, who's losing on the road, while i'm up 4-0 in the first half. i played a 3-5-2 with two offensive wingers and two forwards to the wing and it's working like magic. wow. if it hold ups i'll get to pic my last two games before a qualifier. :D

My biggest game of the season, needing at least a draw to have a chance at autopromotion. Tied at 1 right now.

Away to the #1 and DIII demotee. I beat him at my place earlier, and if I can win today I'm in first place.

It's 2-1 right now with him having 3 chances to my 1. His 2 goals were both "special".

Mine is interesting so far...nobody has missed a chance, we've had a couple lead changes and it is already 3-2.

Was able to pull out 67% poss, still up 3-2. Sucks I won't be around for the second half--hafta get on the road. I should be safe though.

4-2 to him at half, and he has 52% possession.

Easy match tonight but FAAACK. I thought I rested my top IM so he wouldn't pick up his third yellow card but I didn't and of course he picked up the yellow. I'll need to get creative in the midfield next week.

Up 2-0 with 63% poss, I should be able to win this one w/o too much trouble.

LOL!!!! My #3 IM was also on 2 yellows and he was just booked. My midfield is boned for next week. Oh well, I'll be 3 points clear of 2nd place after tonight and I play them in the final week so I still have a really good shot at first place.

Yup. HTRF made sure I didn't have a shot at autopromoting so it's not really a big deal. I'm just a bit disappointed because I usually enjoy beating up on the team I'm facing next Sunday.

Won 5-0, with no injuries or cards. On my way to a 14-0 season.

Finally won another match, 5-3 against the 6th place guy. Too little too late though, sadly.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Proudest Moment in Hoover Vacuum Keener history! :) I played the hands-down conference leader in terms of HS at his place without my starting 2nd central defender and decided to go for it anyway. Went MOTS and AIM against a team that plays nothing but AOW and figured that I might be able to win midfield and have that carry over, and it did. I won 0-1 by winning midfield by a lot, keeping 62% and 60% possesion advantages, and getting a set pieces goal from my newly-acquired winger that I bought three days ago when I actually decided to try to win this thing. :)

Now I'm in an interesting place. I'm tied in points with the #2 team who I play in two weeks (bot in the middle). The MOTS pretty much wrecked my team spirit, but I think if I PIC the next match, I can MOTS again for the final game. I should be able to out-HS him in two weeks by about 10 points (120 vs 110), and if I win the last two I'll autopromote out of D. VI in my third year. I still can't decide whether that's a good thing since I think I'll have a hard time surviving at D. V with those numbers, but I shouldn't put the cart before the horse. I have a week to figure out whether I'm going to go for it or not.

Lost 5-3, so a DIV title will have to wait.
