Lone voice on OO saying that Charming Steve's gotten the sack today. I've googled it and see nothing, but getting slapped up the road at Barnsleh can't have helped. Interesting, if true. Could Mark Robbins be tempted? Can Rotherham afford him?

Not seeing anything on it today. Perhaps someone's jumped the gun here.

    ... as did I, I guess.

Incidentally, whist over there last week, one of the games I caught was Blackburn Rovers' home loss to Stoke (0-2). Now, one might look at that scoreline and think that Rovers were poor. But they were actually quite good. 62% possession ... 25 shots ... 8 on goal ... strong through midfield and playing some very nice stuff. The only problems were a combination of shocking finishing (they missed at least three no-exaggeration sitters) and extraordinary goalkeeping.

    Stoke's man-of-the-match* keeper? Viktor Johansson.

*technically, I don't know that he was given the MoM, but I can't imagine he wasn't. The rest of Stoke were pants.

Yeah Johansson was a great bit of business for Stoke. Hopefully we had the sense to negotiate a sell on clause (doubtful).

There's no way we'll get Robins as he'll walk into pretty much any Championship job. Things have become so desperate here there's talk of giving Richard Wood a chance.
