We were more like Scotland than Brazil but I can't really argue with a point against a team with 6 wins from 7 (and a draw) going into it. We need to start picking up some wins though, both at home and away, we're relegation candidates on current form and the table now shows it.

Saw the result whilst working, and figured that a decent point - without having seen it, of course.

At least it seems like you've something to build on ... unlike the neighbors.

We're in real trouble, we gambled on signing a lot of (Championship standard) injury prone defenders that most other Championship clubs wouldn't touch with a barge pole, with the view that they can't possibly all be injured at once and that's pretty much the situation at the moment.

I can't see us getting anything today but that's usually when we do, strangely.

I'm losing hope, even with the defensive injuries as an excuse we're still hopeless going forward. We have a better quality team and yet we look worse than last season.

Bristol City at home tonight, hopefully we've got a couple of injured players back. I think we've been missing Cafu in midfield and any sort of fit CB.

We lost 2-1 to late goals. It sounds like a good performance considering recent form but we struggle with getting shots on target. This is starting to feel like another depressing Championship season.

    1-1.

A fantastic point but by all accounts more down to luck and a terrific goalkeeping display than performance. As good as a result it is if we don't improve we will simply continue to limp along averaging roughly half a point per game.

South Yorkshire propping up the Championship table as it stands. A quarter of the way through the season and nine points between you. Not pretty. I wouldn't be shocked if both were on the same number when you go to Hillsborough late in the month. It won't be long before 'not pretty' becomes 'grim'.

... actually, in Wednesday's case, it's already grim.

And speaking of South Yorkshire derbies ... I'm thinking I'll probably be over in the Spring, with the first weekend in March looking the most likely time. On the chance that Spurs/Palace gets moved to Sunday, then, that'll be me with a free Saturday on 2 March - the day that Wednesday are away to Rotherham.

I wouldn't bet on it, but it could happen. Get a pint down at the Bridge Inn, Myshoe?

Sure, we'll have to arrange something closer to the time if you're going to be in Rotherham.

It looks like Derby fans are starting to lose patience with Warne, chants of "Paul Warne your football is s**t" at today's game apparently.

I actually started to post that this morning. Warne's started calling out players at Derby, and that's sure sign that the descent is underway. Which begs the question: with Taylor walking the edge ... would ya have Warne back? Any noise like that up your way?

I think our fan base would be split about it, we knew Warne's limitation in terms of how the team played but there's also no question that the players seemed to be fitter (type of recruiting and his background as a fitness coach) and ran their socks off.

The problem is even if we did get him back we'd probably still struggle with the amount of sick notes in our squad currently, so it would probably have to be with a view to building for immediate promotion next season. I'm not sure if our chairman would sack Taylor though without first giving him a chance to get us back out of League One. Taylor has had a lot of support financially this season so the chairman must have a lot of confidence in him.

There's our monthly home win to give renewed hope before we go on another 5 game run without a win. I hope I'm wrong but watch us lose to Wednesday.

I never saw this one coming:
    https://www.themillers.co.uk/news/2...ranted-permission-to-add-ayala-to-squad-list/

Following permissions being granted by the EFL which permits the Millers to add a player to their 25-man squad list following the season-ending injury to Andre Green, boss Matt Taylor has swooped to secure the signature of experienced defender Daniel Ayala on a short-term deal - subject to ratification.

Given how we've been struggling with injured CB's it's a huge boost, it's a bit weird that an injured striker can lead to you signing a new defender though, I'd assume that it would be like for like.

You've got to laugh at Birmingham City, after a few seasons of narrowly avoiding relegation and generally being s**t they finally find some form and start to do well under a particular manager, so what do they do? sack him and appoint a celebrity instead. P3 L3, who could have foreseen that.

Yeah he's quality I don't know why you haven't been using him more, I think most of our fans would take him back in place of Hugill.

Apparently, Taylor has said to one of the journos that he's lost trust in some of the players.. uh oh.. or maybe that's just his excuse for why he keeps starting matches in the same formation and then having to change it after 25mins because we look so hopeless.

1 point out of 21 away from home this season....

So we have another injury ahead of the big game against QPR this weekend but he hasn't said who it is.

It's fair to say Taylor's strategy of signing Championship standard players that the rest of the Championship clubs won't touch with a barge pole due to their injury records has blown up in his face. Ever since the start of the season it's been like a constant firefight where whenever we get a player back another one or two get injured.

If we lose at the weekend I think the fans will be calling for his head as we need to win every remaining home game given his away record and losing to second bottom would be as disastrous.

It sounds like we were dire again and lucky to get a point, we have our game in hand on Tuesday but it seems like everyone has had enough of watching Taylor's brand of passive football.

3-0 down with around 20mins to go..

Coming off a good performance and result against Ipswich at home mid-week, we once again just look completely passive and disinterested away from home. How can a team that's quite competitive at home be so **** away? surely it's tactical? we are certs to go down unless there's a drastic change.
