Rostock beats Hannover 3:1 [english written report] Hi there, I wrote a report again. I hope, you'll enjoy it. Plese tell me how you liked it (you can write me too). Greetings from Hannover ---------------------------------------------- Rostock beats Hannover 3:1 Hansa Rostock has won for the first time in the Bundesliga history against Hannover 96 with a 3:1 win. Rostock’s Coach Juri Schlünz had said before the match „this is a key game, to see, where we’re heading“. His team played with his restored midfielder René Rydlewicz (30), after his suspension (yellow banned). Hannover’s German striker Thomas Brdaric and Serbien midfielder Nebojsa Krupnikovic had each been banned after the last game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (2:2) by their 5th yellow card. Rostock took the lead with a goal by the Swedish striker Magnus Arvidsson in the 12th. Hansa’s Rasmussen headed the ball in the goalmouth and Arvidsson finally netted the ball volley (while Mo’ Idrissou cleared Hannover’s offside trap). In the 33rd Rostock’s Razundara Tjikuzu crossed a ball from the right wing into the penalty area when the German striker Martin Max took advantage by scoring to 2:0. The American striker Clint Mathis reduced the 0:2 deficit to 1:2 in the 38th minute, by scoring from a 17m distance. Mo’ Idrissou crossed the ball from the left wing, that deflected by Rostock’s Möhrle infront of Clint Mathis, who scored the goal by a perfect volley to his 3rd season tally. But only 67 seconds later Rostock went again ahead by forward Martin Max. He scored by getting a 40m pass from Joakim Persson. Hansa Rostock started the second half in the same dominant mood which they had shown in the first 45 minutes. The Russian midfielder Vladimir But (26), who did play his last bundesliga game on the 4th may 2002 in Freiburg, made his debut at Hannover 96 in the starting-lineup. He was substituded in the last 15 minutes, but this was not enough time for him to show his strength. Both teams had a few chances, but the game ended 3:1. Hansa Rostock made a big step towards avoiding relegation. The missing of Thomas Brdaric and Nebojsa Krupnikovic weakened Hannover 96. The best Hannover pro’ was Abel Xavier in a team, that played its worst season match. Now Hannover has to score against Hertha BSC Berlin next sunday, if they do not want to fall deeper in the standings. Goals: 1:0 Magnus Arvidsson (12) 2:0 Martin Max (33) 2:1 Clint Mathis (38.) 3:1 Martin Max (39.) Standings: 10. Hansa Rostock 12. Hannover 96
Thanks for the report, Wolverine. But don't put results in title unless you want fidlerre to smash one of those beer bottles over your head!
I won't do it again, sorry. I'm still a novice in this field. Unless I would like to prefer to drink that beer...!
Great report Wolverine. If I could make one request/suggestion: the more information about Clint in the match report the better it would be for us Mathis fans. Regards
Wolverine; thanks for the report!! Keep it up. Nice, diplomatic response to the score in the title (sheesh, don't have a cow man.)
What he said, especially considering that this is a Yanks Abroad forum, and we're tracking the progress of our players overseas (such as the case with Clint Mathis). Other than that, the report's a fantastic read. Keep up the good work.
Good morning out there. Thanks for your response. You are right, I should write more about Clint Mathis. Here we go: He scored his 3rd goal in his 4th match. That goal was defenetly a superb shot. But unfortunatly it was his badest game. He wasn't creative too much, to open the game. I know he is not a real "10er" (that means the key player of the team, like Simak was with a number 10 on his shirt). Maybe he got influenced by his teammates ;-). As I wrote it was the worst game from Hannover 96 this season. Maybe that resulted of missing Brdaric and Krupnikovic. In the whole game there was no midfield action. And that is Mathis's area too. I think also, that Vladimir But came too late to change anything of this game. He is a brilliant technic. He will get his comeback. To Clint Mathis again: I think he is in a good direction. He needs more time to develop. Next sunday the next job against Berlin is to do...! You don't have to forget, that still our most important player Altin Lala is missing by injury (De Guzman is now on his position), and Thomas Chtristiansen the goalgetter from Hannover 96. I can't say more about Clint. I hope that helps more. Next time there will be more about Clint, and maybe Steve.
Yeah, definintely. I think some people at BS need to fashion themselves some kind of crude coccoon that they can hide in all weekend, since they're so terrified of seeing results before they get to watch the game days later. Hint to those people: the Internet is a bad place to hang out if you're trying to avoid information.
Some people will never learn, Matt. And, that is the official, unofficial policy on BS, so we all need to try to adhere to it. My typical response is caveat emptor.
And the funny thing is that I am certain that none of the posters who got their panties in such a wad over this had actually taped this game -- was this game actually televised anywhere in the world?
No matter how much you write it won't be enough for us. Write as you please because we don;t want you to stop! The only thing I worry about with Clint is if he makes runs off the ball. If he hangs back, if he jogs when his teammates are running, if the only time he gives 100% is when he has the ball then it's going to be a bad season for H96. With the 4231 the wings have a lot of responsibility and there is plenty of opportunity for the AM to find opportunities to help the wing players. Does Clint make a lot of runs to the wing? Does he make a lot of penetrating runs?
