That's 19 total and 16 senior roster spots. Our SI spots are filled. That means we have 2 full rosters spots and up to 3 P40/DP spots. If we are going to get an attacking mid via the foreign route such as Chacon, then that dictates that Stoichkov or Daniv has to be cut or part of the trade.
I'd guess that the Fire administration knew that Gray was going to be graduated -- he was right at the top of the team in minutes played and is certainly going to be a key player. So his salary was probably already counted against the cap when we did the cutdown on the 4th or 6th or whenever it was. Right, that's what I indicated -- 2 senior roster spots available and 3 P40/DP slots -- total of 5 spots available.
