I think this is a good choice if they can't get torres

we need a cantonesque type player. tough, flair, magic, a player that you cant resist not watching! long live the king!

i sould stop dreaming because i dont think we will ever seee a great player like him in the near future....but rooney seems like he might turn into just that!

I think C.Ronaldo can become at least half of what THE KING was. ;)

When you are always unfairing the opposition defence , you are prone to get knocked around :D

    I prefer torres over rooney

Rooney? Better keep that boy away from the kabobs or he'll end up looking like this.

Ok folks, I know we all like making new threads, but we already have these two places to discuss which players we are interested in:

    Summer 2004 Transfer Rumor Thread

    Manchester United News

Please try to keep transfer discussion and other small news items in those threads, it helps reduce the clutter on the main page. :)

Go and start a poll on this board and ask them who they would rather have, Rooney or Torres. See who most would pick and we will see who is the ass.

Everton won't sell Rooney for about 3 years unless they get relegated which is a possibilty.

I'd wager a great deal that he'll be gone before then if he continues to shine at the international level. If they can get 25 - 30 for him, he's worth far more to them via selling than keeping.

For a mediocre team, one player, no matter how splendid, isn't going to turn the club around. However, 4-5 moderately priced buys, currently out of Everton's reach... plus debt relief... could really make a difference in the club's future.
