Meanwhile, Tillman is still a hero in Glasgow as Gers look to spend their 1.2 mill they earned on Tillman transfer. Despite all the obvious downsides to the SPL, Gers/Celtic have been a good place for a number of players to revive their fortunes. Would be a cool story if Dortmund worked a kind of Tillman deal with Gers and Gio revived his starlet moniker at his Dad's (and namesakes) old club... (that is based on nothing but my musings, btw.)

Seriously though, the guy was made for Italy.

 

SPL gets a lot of stick (much of it deserved) but it's been a decent stepping-stone for some US (and other nation's) young playmaker/AM types (Tillman, Hyndman, Jota, etc.) but yeah, he ain't really going there, tho it would be a fun story.

Meanwhile - there's an enidhoven derby friendly tomorrow (Wed) and one v. Club Brugge U21s that's telestreamed by ESPN(?!) on Friday. We're creeping back to real footie!

 

Today at 11 PST is the "Lichtstaderby" friendly between PSV and FC Eindhoven. Will be interesting to see who gets a run out. There's another friendly on Friday v. Brugge U21 that's going to be on ESPN+ it says.
