    I mean c'mon, it's bloody obvious now.

A few games ago he talked about how harsh and critical the fans were. Granted, we gave him a lot of crap at RFK, but the basis of most of it was formed on BigSoccer.

Tonight during the broadcast he eluded to 'debates over where Convey should play' and then when talking about Quintanilla said, 'well from now on we'll just call him Q2'.

I don't think he says many of these things, espeically the last 2, without lurking on these boards.

Of course he lurks here. That's no surprise.

Well, if Thomas reads the boards, I have two things to say:

    1. Given your replacement, perhaps we were being hasty in calling for your head.

    2. How can you say that Convey's "natural position" is on the left flank? Doesn't he start in the middle for the U-20's?

    3. What the hell happened here? ;)

    Hello Thomas, Thanks for noting the fans and their lingo during your broadcasts. Things I'd like to hear on Saturday's broadcast;

1 - D.C. would clearly be better off with Convey in the middle. The American game is better run by a players like Convey than Etcheverry.
2 - Richmond's strikers are not the answer
3 - Ray is bringing in OTC for a trial.
4 - I smoked on the sidelines because it made me look cool, take that Smoke Nazis!

Dave Johnson might as well because it sounded like he chuckled at the statement Rongen made about Q2.

Don't fool yourself, the vast majority of the MLS/US Soccer community visits big soccer from time to time, albeit with less frequency than most of us. :D

It's kinda like those athletes who profess to never reading the newspaper ... they read the sports sections religiously, whether online or in print.

    Note to Wrongen:

Thank you for ruining this franchise. As a result of your incompetent management, you brought down a once beloved franchise. The team that won in 1999 was Bruce Arena's team so it was no suprise that we won the cup that year. After the championship season, you led the champs to become the laughing stock of the league. I have so much hatred towards you that I came up with a conspiracy plot circulating through the web claiming that you were bought by the league to bring down DC United in order to even the playing field in MLS. How much did it take Thomas??

I am not suprised that you have not managed a club since your departure because no one will hire a retard like you mister. I hope you rot in hell.

I have to say it: I was there.

I was 9 years old, and it made quite an impression on me.

It took me a while to get used to his accent but I like him as a commentator. Every now and then he says something worth listening to.

Speaking of Dave "It's in the net, it's in the net" Johnson, will he ever pronounce Ryan Nelsen's name right?

If you've followed Richmond at all this year, I don't think their strikers are the answer for their own team... :)

Well, you do use the word "club", so I can't say you are entirely wrong, but WrongOne is the current coach for one of the USMNT youth teams (U-17?).

Maybe we can get Rongen to call Stoich HCB and Ivanon HCB2

George Best had a liver transplant last year. He waited, just like everybody else, instead of using his influence to receive one earlier. I saw him on the television during the Manchester United - Charlton match back on May 3rd, and he looks like a new man now. Truly great to see!

I was as mad as anyone about Rongen's years as coach (even brought a poorly conceived homemade banner demanding his resignation), but "rot in hell?" Simmer down sparky.

I think Rongen got a bit of a raw deal. His teams didn't do very well, but he was a victim of the salary cap and injuries. As we can see, Hudson isn't doing much better. In fact, I think he's doing worse. From what I've seen and read from and about him, Rongen has a good football mind, but his player management skills were not outstanding like DaBruce.

Question for those reminiscing about the days when Rongen was universally thought to be the source of all that was wrong with DCU--would we now be any worse with Rongen at the helm? Could we be any worse?
