Surprised no-one really posted about this (at least not that I saw). But he was injured over the weekend clash with Racing Santander. It is believed to be a thigh strain.

So he will most likely mist at least 2 weeks of action, and I have a feeling he'll be doubtful for the qualifier against Paraguay at the end of the month.

Hopefully he'll make it in time for that game.

I trust Luís Fabiano and Adriano to perform well - they certainly deserve chances - but away to Paraguay we must have our best 11 on the field - we need to win to put behind us the bad second halves of the last two games and prove we control these matches and can get all the points.

Plus the next game is Argentina.

We're in big dudu if we indeed miss him. It's not like we don't have enough problems already.

Ronaldo's injury is a big blow but I feel we have enough firepower left to achieve a win over Paraguay

    ------------------Adriano
    --------Ronaldinho--------Kaka
    ----Ze Roberto----Silva----Juninho Pernambucano

    Roberto C-------Alex-------Lucio------Cafu/Maicon

    --------------------Dida

Course if we wanted a really offensive side we could do this.

    -----------------------Adriano
    -----Robinho
    -----------Ronaldinho-----Kaka

    ------------Renato-----Juninho Pernambucano

    Roberto C-------Alex--------Lucio-------Mancini

But who is our coach, do you remember?

That's almost the same attack of the Confederations Cup, and how well did we do then?

Ronaldo is the only one who can make up for Parreira screwing up the seleção.

    Yeah. 'sigh'.

If only we could Zico, Tostao, or Falcao to coach the Selacao. That way, we could finally fully unleash this team's unbelievable offensive potential. We should be blowing teams like Paraguay out of the water.

Please pick a real coach. Zico? Hopefully he'll get better, but so far has not done very well.

Tostão is my favorite commentator - no one makes sense as clearly as he does - but does he have coaching experience?

Falcão? Not by any means first choice.

There are plenty of good coaches in Brazil without having to resort to famous players.

    From soccernet:

The good news for the nine-times European champions is the likely return of leading scorer Ronaldo, who has recovered from a thigh strain and should make the starting line-up.
