i have actually read arguments for both scenarios. on one hand, some doctors say abstaining from sex will save energy and keep players "pent up." the idea is that the players will take out their sexual "frustration" on the field. i believe the italian national team adheres to this policy during the WC. on the other, some doctors actually say sex before competition is good. the rationale being it helps players relax, and maintain proper focus. like many issues in life... there always seems to be a study to support anything u want. personally, i like the latter school of thought.
Well let's hope Ronaldo's current model girlfriend can provide some sexual healing. Our strike force needs it!
