I think it is safe to say that R10 selecao career is over Brazil aren't desperate enough to pull a Mexico and call in Cuauhtemoc Blanco.

Just my opinion, but this is my crystal ball how I think Dinho's career will play out from here. He will play hard this season in search of impressing and winning a spot for the World Cup squad. I don't think he will get it, despite him putting in a solid Brasileirao. Galo's organization isn't dumb, so they will offload Dinho when they can. He then will move to a team that will overpay for him, and he will cause a lot of controversey for packing it in and not producing like he previously did. Throw in all the off the field issues that will follow, and it wont be a good situation. After this he goes to the states and cashes in on a huge contract until he retires. I think he'd go to the U.S., instead of China or the Middle East, bc of his nightlife requirements. :)

THAT would be amazing. With the announcement of getting a stadium...he'd be a good star to bring the title back to DC right before we move into our new home in a couple of years.

It would give me an opportunity to vent my frustration at him :D

In all seriousness, it would be a good move for DCU. I haven't been to a game since last season, so I would probably go to some games if it happened.

As would I. Just isn't the same team for the last couple of yuears. We miss that South American injection we've received in the past.

LOL don't hate. At his best...he's really something. Probably will have a career with the USMNT if he can stay injury free.

You can't really say that about anyone on the current DCU roster. They are absolutely atrocious.

I was looking at some of the other rosters in the MLS and you see some Generation Adidas guys on some of the teams. Where are DCU's?

Hopefully, Pontius, Kitchen, DeLeon, etc turn out to be good MLS players down the road. I enjoyed seeing Pontius own NYRB last season. :D

Those free kicks are sublime....a pity he isn't that effective for the NT. Correct me if i'm wrong but the stadium sure looked dead for a Fluminese v Atletico game....look's depressing.

He's scoring FKs more frequently, but hasn't had any standout performances since the group stages of the Libertadores.

Came back from injury and scored two goals. If he does well in the Club World Cup can we slowly invite him back on the Selecao?

I, and a few others here, seriously hope not. You might as well wish for Pelé to play. The thought is nice when you convince yourself that he will do what he once did, but it requires ignoring reality for you to believe that.

I'll take Oscar and Neymar and even Robinho and Kaká thank you very much.

I seriously hope Scolari does not consider this. Robinho and Kaka fine but just a hell no to Ronaldinho.

One thing to consider, is if its worth it to have a gut like Dinho on the squad that could be subbed in extra time to be a lights out penalty taker. He'll have 0-30 mins in extra time to try and do his thing, then you have him as an almost sure penalty goal.

I say no, but to me its an interesting approach for the 23rd spot on the team.
