Has anybody seen transfer fee figures for Ronaldhino? Clearly PSG is shopping him around this summer (see comments in link below, among others: http://www.sport.es/Barsa/article.asp?id=61709) I think I read that PSG owns his image rights and a substantial fee for that would go along with the 'regular' transfer fee...probably making it prohibitive for Barça to latch on to him. But who knows. Just curious. jc
Jay, getting much sleep these days? Stick with it, at some point you will get some sleep! Well now if Real goes after Beckham, Barca will probably think they have to sign somebody. My preference, of course, would be for them NOT to sign anybody and bring along the players they have. Of course, had Gaspart listened to us, LvG would never have sullied the Nou Camp again. I love Ronaldhino when he's on. I will never, never forget that goal against England (right up there with Rivaldo against Valencia or DeRosario against the Galaxy, and that one I scored in a pick up game in Berkeley a couple of years ago ). Maybe he's the kind of guy who needs the bigger stage to shine on, but I'd rather see if JRR can cut it on a week in and week out basis. Tony
Im adie hard albiceleste fan, but even I recognize Ronaldinho is a monster! I was glad with Rivo and if Ronaldinho comes it could be a great addition, the question might be what position? heres a couple of reasons to convince Tony that hes a good candidate: http://www.ronaldinho.fr.fm Enter site and on the left hand menu follow the path: Multimedia -Videos, Les Plus Beaux Buts (sorry no direct link).
Yeah, that was going to be my next question too...no matter how many creative midfielders you have, there's only one ball. But Mendieta will most certainly be gone after this season and that will create another hole on the right hand side. Here's a curious thought sort of getting off topic. Let me just lob this out there...say Ronaldhino signs with Man U...'Seba' Veron would certainly have to go from Old Trafford then, yes? (Sorry, I don't buy this stuff about Beckham leaving for a second.) Tell us, Mario of the albiceleste...would you grab him if he was available, or are his better days behind him? And Tony, the answer to your question can be answered in two words: very. little. I am an expert on the 2 a.m. war coverage though.
Certainly you already said the answer, unfortunately (IMO) JSV has past his prime, the last WC is the best example (Aimar is the future of the albiceleste) Veròn plays way better for his team than his country plus he has another demarcation on the pitch in Italy he played as fantasista (Zidane's game in Juventus come to mind) and now hes just a CM in ManU
why the hell not we have had Romario Ronaldo Rivaldo lets complete the cycle with ronaldinho in 3 years we get robinho
