Score today, Villareal 3 - Valencia 0. If Maduro watched this terrible performance, he's probably wishing he didn't anger the Ajax management. van der Vaart is probably thinking Juventus as well. How much longer for Koeman??
Great player, terrible coach. Should never have been hired by neither Ajax nor Valencia. But I'm comfortable with PSV taking him back
I'm laughing my ass off if he gets canned....The train might arive only once but you better be prepared when you get on board
Wow, a stirring 1-0 victory over 10 man Athletico Madrid. Goal comes off a corner. Despite having a man advantage, the men of Koeman can't pick up another. Maduro comes on for a half and does virtually nothing to help the cause.
Nine straight league matches without a victory. 0-1 loss to Almeria. The victory during mid-week was in the Copa del Rey. Maduro goes the full 90 minutes. Fortunately, we in the US were spared having to watch this match! Valencia are now 11th on the table 7 points above relegation.
No suprise that Maduro did nothing as the question begs to ask, just why in God's name did you sign this player for. Very average player at that. Valencia is a team in turmoil, and I wonder who will they attempt to sign in the future as they need (Koeman) help immediately. Raffie where are you?
Really? I thought he had his sights set on playing in Spain. Juventus would be an interesting choice for him.
Who really knows. He was wearing a Valencia kit last August when he tried to get HSV to sell him. During the mid-winter Bundesliga break he was seen in a Juventus kit. However, all this is conjecture at this point. Personally I think he would be really dangerous at Juventus as a mid-field scorer.
Koeman's men lose again in the Copa del Rey to Athletico 2-3. Fortunate for the manager that the away goals rule decides things and Valencia move into the next round despite a 3-3 aggregate.
After talking about how his club has Champions League aspirations, Koeman's men go out and lose to Espanyol 0-2. Former Ajax midfielder Maduro picks up two yellows, the second leading to ejection in the 80th minute. Maybe Maduro should have stayed with the Red & White if he wants to play in the CL. Valencia now stand in 9th place.
I think Maduro could have turned into a decent player if he'd stayed at Ajax. He'd had some moments of very good play. My understanding is that he left because he felt (with some justification) mistreated by HtC and management. He's going to be another Nigel de Jong or Andy van der Meijde, only without the ability.
Being another De Jong or Van Der Meyde without the ability leaves you with nothing as both of these players are quite avaerage themselves so by saying that Maduro is almost utter shite.
I'm sorry but Koeman is way out of his depth at Valencia, i don't think he has the technical management skills to cope with managing a big club.
The KoeMEN only manage a 2-2 draw at home to lowly Deportivo La-Coruna and slip down to 10th place on the table. Even the UEFA cup is looking like a stretch now. Those in the stadium voiced their derision at the end of the match.
Keeps getting worse for Koeman, I'm watching the Sevilla match right now, Valencia is down 2-0 already after only 20 min.
They get one back at the 90 minute mark but still lose. Midweek Koeman attacks the press for questioning his tactics. Maybe he is the one who needs to do the questioning.
I doubt he'll be back in Valencia next year And will PSV ever take him back after leaving them mid-season??? I heard he burned a few bridges, is that true???
Doesn't matter as PSV has Huub Stevens coming in next season from Hamburg. Stevens has Hamburg currently second in the Bundesliga.
How much longer will the citizens of Valencia put up with this team? Losing 1-0 to second from the bottom Murcia. The only salvation to their season is the league Cup; with a victory they will make it to Europe. They now sit in 14th place six points above relegation! Our favorite former Ajax player Maduro had to sit this one out because of yellow card accumulation.
