Taking this awful international break to assess our upcoming LEAGUE fixtures through the end of the year. Now is the time to really rack up points. 17 points is a minimum here. Leicester (currently 15th) [Heidenheim Conf League] Aston Villa (9th) Southampton (20th) Tottenham (10th) [Astana Conf League] Brentford (11th) [Shamrock Conf League] Everton (16th) Fulham (7th) Ipswich (17th)
I’d say 17 is certainly the minimum even if that feels low. Would mean 2 losses and a tie with only 3 games in this stretch looking like strong comp.
In this league you underestimate any team at your peril, just ask Mr 'it's who we are mate' himself :-D
Saw this and thought it was interesting. 12 wins doesn’t seem a lot “Chelsea need around 12 wins from 23 games to play UCL next season. 12x3 is 36. Chelsea have already 31 points. That’s would be 67pts. There is a 92% chance at the moment 5th is UCL. And 66pts was enough in 23/24, 22/23, 21/22, 20/21, 19/20, 18/19, 17/18. 12 would be playing with fire but with the PL unpredictability it could possibly be lower. We’ve created a gap on 6th place but if you wanted more than 2 feet in the UCL door then we’d need 12 wins + couple draws“
After Qatar, why not https://www.skysports.com/football/...2030-world-cup-to-be-held-in-three-continents
Add to that the fact that there is pretty close to zero riding on this game. It's a tin-pot competition anyway, and even if we did care about it, we're pretty much a lock to qualify for knockouts even with a loss here. Anyone with even the slightest chance of playing a premier league minute for us should be left at home
LuClass: Riyadh Air, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines are in talks with Chelsea. The club expect a £20-25m fee for the rest of the season + a deal worth up to £60m from next season if they make UCL. Riyadh Air was also considering a joint proposal to sponsor the club with another Saudi entity link
