Always reassuring . . . . Chelsea are set hire Chris Jurasek as their new chief executive, with president of business Tom Glick expected to depart after only 10 months.
Glick made a big misjudgement in a case of sexual harassment earlier in the season and I think that is the main reason he is out of the door
Chelsea's Premier League fixtures - season kicks off in the middle of August - a couple of months away and are we ready to face the scousers on opening day? 13/08/2023 16:30 Liverpool (h) 19/08/2023 15:00 West Ham United (a) 26/08/2023 15:00 Luton Town (h) 02/09/2023 15:00 Nottingham Forest (h) 16/09/2023 15:00 A.F.C. With the exception of the opening fixture I'd imagine Poch is well pleased with that! right up until Arsenal of course! Should give him time to get his feet under the table. I do hope we give him time, his early results at Southampton and Spurs weren't great but he turned em both around..........after he was given some time.
7 games in Dec, plus a League Cup game should we still be in it ( hope so! ) will be a trying month. Just going through the list, we don’t play any of ‘the big six’ in-the last seven games. Wether that means anything who knows. Games in Full . . . August 13: Liverpool (h) - kick-off 4.30pm, live on Sky Sports 19: West Ham (a) 26: Luton (h) September 2: Nottingham Forest (h) 16: Bournemouth (a) 23: Aston Villa (h) 30: Fulham (a) October 7: Burnley (a) 21: Arsenal (h) 28: Brentford (h) November 4: Tottenham (a) 11: Man City (h) 25: Newcastle (a) December 2: Brighton (h) 6: Man Utd (a) 9: Everton (a) 16: Sheffield Utd (h) 23: Wolves (a) 26: Crystal Palace (h) 30: Luton (a) January 13: Fulham (h) 31: Liverpool (a) February 3: Wolves (h) 10: Crystal Palace (a) 17: Man City (a) 24: Tottenham (h) March 2: Brentford (a) 9: Newcastle (h) 16: Arsenal (a) 30: Burnley (h) April 3: Manchester United (h) 6: Sheffield United (a) 13: Everton (h) 20: Brighton (a) 27: Aston Villa (a) May 4: West Ham (h) 11: Nottingham Forest (a) 19: Bournemouth (h)
I'm nervous, of course sometimes a manager can get almost instant results but I'm not sure Poch is one of those, of course a lot will depend on the off season and transfers and sometimes things do fall into place quite quickly, I hope its one of those 'times', the fixtures have certainly fallen nicely for him and hopefully we'll sort out the sh*te going on with the medical/fitness team too but if it doesn't improve immediately I think it will over time.
Y’all. I have two tix to Chelsea v. Brighton in Philadelphia on July 22 that I can’t use. Nice seats. Club level. $275 covers my costs. Venmo or PayPal and I will transfer them via the villains at Ticketmaster.
Building an Empire takes time. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65992617 Where France and Germany collide.
Drama with Chelsea Directors as arguments and disagreements on targets and signings occured. Felix not being signed was a decision by other directors and not a directive by Pochettino as stated. Christopher Vivell's opinons have been undermined by the other directors. He wanted Felix. We missed out on Gvaridol. Overall though this is another sign of the chaos behind the scenes.

I'd sooner trust a child of 5 to make a good decision over the incompetence that is Mike Dean and Anthony Taylor. "I missed the stupid hair pull at Chelsea versus Tottenham which was pathetic from my point of view. I didn’t want to send Anthony up because he is a mate as well as a referee and I didn’t want any more grief than he already had"✍️ @_ChrisBascombe#TelegraphFootball— Telegraph Football (@TeleFootball) August 24, 2023
Nice that he’s thinking of his mate’s comfort and nit the lives and careers of the players and coaches whose positions can swing with a single result.
Now Todd et-al have fired the bus drivers; They have canceled the coach subsidy for supporters to travel to domestic away matches which only sets the Club back 250,000 quid/season or 5 1/2 days of Sterling's salary or 1 shoelace of the Caicedo purchase. Bad PR move, especially after a disaterous first season in charge. https://www.football.london/chelsea...rm=&ruid=7bf74902-33ae-44f8-ba86-4272427d5d36
Not good really, however on the plus side they didn't increase ticket prices for this season:- https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...prices-2023-24-majority-clubs-jack-costs.html I think at a time when (thanks to covid and the Ukraine war) there is a cost of living crisis and most clubs have increased prices (Forest by a whopping 20%!!) that Chelsea have done a very 'good thing' by freezing matchday prices at Stamford Bridge.
Another penny pinching exercise. In order to save a few stewards they have introduced a ridiculous queuing system to get into the ground. I used to be able to walk up to the turnstile and get in straight away now I have to queue and then negotiate one of the totally useless slalom courses round numerous barriers. It's a bloody disgrace
I obviously has f*ck all to do with Brexit!! The EU is in recession, the UK is not - thank you Brexit.
John Terry is part of a group exploring the prospect of buying a stake in the club [around 10%] with Todd Boehly open to fresh investment. Chelsea could find out this week whether their plans to renovate Stamford Bridge will be able to go ahead following more than two months of talks with local residents.
The main issue seems to be a large medical practice would have to relocate. The retired service men's home seem to be in favour.
And so it begins. https://www.skysports.com/football/...than-four-months-into-mauricio-pochettino-era
Indeed. He was once the manager of Chelsea. Incredible. Not going to discuss our other managers [for obvious reasons]. We obviously need to give Pochettino time. The squad clearly misses some older more experienced players. Can Poch create a successful team with all these young lads? I think he can.
