RLC back with goal in inter-squad match and also whatever else this is: https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...-Cheek-Frank-Lampard-Stamford-Bridge-Friendly
Some time back, WAGNH started a countdown for the best Chelsea goals ever. This was the first one that came to mind for me, and it comes in at #4
that's the first goal i think of when i think chelsea wonder goal. every time. there are many more that pop up when i think about it, but for some reason that one never ever leaves my head. the call on it is so memorable as well. those two voices......"admire a strike of unbelievable quality"
actually, all 4 of the goals from 2006 for some reason have a special room they live in my mind. not entirely sure why. that season seemed like one scrap after another, the late game claw backs that kept repeating it seemed like.
Think I shared the story before, but that was the first match I had season tickets for. A buddy of mine and I from uni got a pair after graduation in the Matt Harding Lower a few rows up and to the right. I remember as if it was yesterday Mark talking to me (whilst watching the match of course) when Mario was juggling it and saying what the f**k is he doing? Oh don't shoot you muppet. *^%(^%(^%($%#*^#%*^%&(&*%(*(* The stand went absolutely mental and we felt like the season tickets paid for themselves at that point. At 480 a pop of course they didn't but we more than got our value that year. Jimmy and Eidur. Franco and Gus. Wonderful times, hard to believe it was two decades ago.
Nice gesture from the WSL champions! https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52991947 Chelsea are to donate their prize money for winning the Women's Super League to a charity which supports women and children experiencing domestic abuse.
Looks like kante, pulisic, gilmour and rlc all played. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/06/10/chelsea-play-reading-in-cobham-friendly?cardIndex=0-0
Very good news. Would be great to have a fully fresh and healthy squad ready to go. The extra subs will help too.
Yes, getting a squad that's healthy is such an added bonus. I can't wait to see RLC is this squad with these managers.
Oh FFS, the ESPN article which I will NOT link is talking about if Pulisic is in danger at Chelsea. I can't even.
I think he's allowed via temporary whatever...also he could enter as an Israeli citizen, I think. Im sure his lawyers could figure it out. He's just not coming because the UK government are ********ing idiots.
Hahah yea I suppose you’re right he could enter like that but I meant more permanent. The stadium won’t get built until this is resolved. It’s likely getting pushed out cause the losses from COVID but I got to imagine he could still finance it if he wanted.
Mount on the "Chelsea Way" https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/players/mason-mount-reveals-chelsea-way-18408236
Followed through in practice by the youth winning trophies left, right and centre. It's still refreshing to finally see so many now getting their opportunities and grabbing them.
it helps give credit to what we all already have known is an outstanding academy. they've been dominating at youth levels for quite a long time, if you paid attention to that level you saw that, but many don't. to finally have something that ties the 1st team to that academy, and so strongly with both quality and some quantity, is great.
I'm also a believer in that, if the senior staff is familiar with the players and then the players familiar with the system/systems the senior side implements, there isn't much of a drop off when one of the youth players slides in. It's one of the reasons Barca had been so successful and Ajax too. In Barca's case they would slide in and look great but weren't so after they moved on.
