I've always enjoyed watching Romania play, but that seems a tad optimistic.

 

I wouldn't go that far but with some work, Romania can reach the semi-finals. There are so many good Romanian players that this can be achieved. I still have hope that Cosmin Contra can return to the form he had against Liverpool when he was with Alaves. If the Romanians wouldn’t have forced Hagi out of being the Romanian coach, I think Romania could be WC2006 winners.

 

Maybe 5-1 against Germany is the first step in the right direction.

Maybe its a little to optimistical to think they gonna win in 2006 , but your reply shows you don;t know anything about football or romanian team!!

If you saw any of the qualifications games of ROMANIA for euro 2004 you would've seen how biast

the refferees were towards Romania!! Against denmark and Norwway!! If you didn't see the games , you shouldn't talk!! Maybe they will not win the world cup, but Romania Is a much better team than most teams in Europe!!
Even more so, they beat Germany with 'unknowns',
only 'big' name was Chivu and he got hurt after 25 minutes!!!
Of course,the western press only 'noticed' the 2 'big'players missing from germany!!!
Just because they didn't make it to the Euro, that doesn't mean anyhting!!!
