Pannuci is back and Cassano is practicing with the team again, but will not travel with the squad this weekend.

We will feel much better about ourselves after this match.
    Roma 4 - 1 Reggina

    Montella (2), Totti (1), De Rossi (1)

Cassano has apologised to Coach and Club as Pannuci had done earlier in the week. Now both are available for the match this weekend. However, Pannuci is still recoverning from an ankle injury and may not see the pitch.

My match prediction is still the same Roma 4 - 1 Reggina, but I now believe that Cassano will notch a brace with Montella, Totti and De Rossi each netting one as well. This is the week we turn the corner and become serious contenders for one of the 4 CL spots.

but Reggina just beat Juventus, right? i think this may be a tougher match than expected, especially with Roma playing poorly in recent times. i hope Roma can win.

Is Chivu going to play? Does anyone know?

No, Chivu is not with the squad. Neither are Panucci, Cufre, Dellas, Dacourt, Mido, Delvecchio, Tommasi (obviously), and Zotti (all injured) nor Sartor (suspended). This is the likely starting lineup, per La Gazzetta:

    Pelizzoli
    Mexes
    Scurto
    Ferrari
    Candela
    Mancini
    De Rossi
    Perrotta
    Totti
    Montella
    Cassano

Bench - Curci, Grillo, Briotti, Aquilani, De Martino, D'Agostino, Corvia.

Meanwhile, Reggina should have all its first choice selections available. I expect the field condition in Reggio will be even worse than what we saw vs Juventus last weekend because it's been raining in the south pretty much all week.

The thing going for Roma is that, frankly, Reggina is a pretty bad club who got a fluky victory vs Juve. Even with all the injuries, that starting lineup is far superior to this one:

    Soviero
    Cannarsa
    De Rosa
    Franceschini
    Mesto
    Tedesco
    Mozart
    Balestri
    Colucci
    Nakamura
    Bonazzoli

    We shall see.

You can't play the 4-4-2 when you can't even field two, on form, fit defenders. I thought the trident was making a come back today, but it was not to be. Looking on the bright side we're only 9 points away from a CL spot.

I guess all the advantages were enough for Reggina after all ...

    Reggina 1 Roma 0

Looking on the bright side Roma is still only 4 points out of 4th place and Inter tied for the sixth week in a row.

Understatement of the week. These bad results are starting to pile up for the lupi.
