Roma-Reggina I saw the game and i felt that the team didnt look up to Nakamura, they left him out. He got very few passes, instead they passed the Roma players, bad bad. I hope he will look for a new club soon....
Interesting Article: Adrian Mutu on the Serie A Mutu hits out at Italian football ROME, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu says he has no regrets at leaving Italian club Parma to come to Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old Romanian - a 15.8 million pounds ($26.8 million) close-season signing - scored his fifth league goal of the season in Chelsea's 1-0 win over Everton at the weekend and returns to Italy on Tuesday for a Champions League group G match against Lazio. "I'm going through a fantastic period of form with Chelsea at the moment," Mutu was quoted as saying in Italian sports newspaper Controcampo on Monday. "I made the right choice (coming to England), even though I miss Parma. But I certainly don't miss Italian football. "In England the referees stop the game for 10 to 12 fouls per match. In Italy, (that number is) 60. I prefer the British attitude. Football's a game for men. "Then the spectators over here are great - crowds of 40,000 or 50,000 people who support you and never whistle at you. It's not like that in Italy. "Over here they appreciate me. You (Italians) only revere Brazilians and Argentines. In Italy, if you're from the East it's a different story." ***************************************************************** There you have it, straight from the mouth of a man who's played there. Well we've (my friends and I... my friends are English and Mexican) suspected it for a long time, that we don't believe that Italian teams give a fair chance for those who aren't Brazilian or Argentine and here's some mounting evidence to prove that's so. And as for "if you're from the East it's a different story," I think we know that quite well... especially if from the Far East. I even saw on a bigsoccer.com board on Shunsuke Nakamura at Reggina and how the players don't even pass to him.
mistake in previous post Guys, the part under the line of stars was written by myself for another football group that I actually help run, so that's why I mentioned the "in the bigsoccer.com forum" bit.
Mutu hit it right on the head. I was watching Milan vs. Juve yesterday and the ref was atrocious. He called every little contact there was. Whenever Camaranesi got tackled and fell like he's being shot in the head, the ref bought it and called a foul. In EPL you would rarely see cheap calls like that.
