Juventini via! Qui c'e posto solo per romanisti! Vai a droggare con quei traditori che si chiamano Capello, Zebina ed Emerson!

Actually, there's no rule that fans of other teams can't post here. As long as it's not trolling or attacking. Inflammatory posts can be considered trolling. We all know Duck has strong opinions and likes to stir things up, but that doesn't mean all Juve fans are the same.

I just read another article about this situation and it reminded me of something. FIFA ratified Mexes move to Roma before the season started. At the time they warned that they might punish Roma (with a fine) but this pisses me off. If Roma committed an offense horrible enough to warrant a one year transfer ban why the hell did FIFA ratify the transfer in the first place? I'm sure Roma was pressuring them to ratify before the start of the season but seeing how much FIFA likes our club, I doubt that made much of a difference.

Exactly. And the weirdest part is, we've been punished in
successive stages (as SueB has pointed out earlier in this
thread)--the 6-game ban on Mexes, the fine; the transfer
ban. Bottom line is this unusual and Draconian.

So yeah, anyone can post here. But Juve supporters trying
to flame us can shove it.

I've got to believe that there is something else in play with this punishment that we have not been made aware of. Roma has to be guilty of something other than tampering with Mexes while still under contract with Auxerre to warrant this type of penalty. Going back to approximately this time last year, I have read whatever I could get my hands on concerning this issue, and have found nothing that justifies this ban placed on Roma. That's why I believe that we are getting whacked for something more than just Mexes. Just a theory...

Bribe refs? You mean like giving Rolex watches to each ref as a Christmas present? I guess we learn from the best huh.

There are a lot of rumors flying around that this is exactly the case. There's more to the story than what's been told so far. It seems like an awful harsh sentence.

Exactly my point--why do you think I levelled the bribes/ doping
charge at Duck in the first place? Because Juve supporters shouldn't
be getting on their high horses.

Unless you're a fan of some dopey Norwegian team that hasn't
broken a FIFA law since the turn of the 20th century, I don't
want to hear any moralistic garbage.

Now, now, let's not bring Norwegians into this ... that'll get Strummerman in here. ;)

Yet in regards to this current situation you can't compare Juve to Roma. Juve haven't done what Roma has.

That's fine, but you should apply those same standards to yourself.

As a matter of fact, it doesn't. I can see plainly that Roma
have broken FIFA/ FIGC rules in the past. I've never denied
that or even that we should have been punished in some
    form for the Mexes incident.

Thing is, you don't see me in other club's forums flaming
fans for their team's conduct and acting like my own club
has been blameless since the birth of football.

And none of us in the Roma forum claim our team are goddamn
plaster saints, so there's no hypocrisy here. But when people
come in with that goody-goody attitude of yours, and when
those people happen to be Juve supporters, they have to be
reminded of certain things. Like the fact that their club has
been under a doping investigation for months.

And don't tell me what standards I should be following. I've
already admitted in this thread that we should have been
punished for the Mexes incident. The point is just that the
punishment from FIFA has been too harsh.

Now go back to the Juve forum and give Duck Manson some
more rep. I can't imagine where else he got it from.

Just saw that you're the mod for this thread, Dante.

That means I shouldn't be telling you to f*** off. Oops.

But the rest of my point stands. :D

I didn't see him flaming the fan, I saw him posting his opinion. I might not agree with it, but that's what he was doing.

A doping investigation that revealed nothing, just wanted to remind you.

If you're getting on top of your soapbox to preach then you can be sure I'll remind you to follow your own standards.

He didn't get it from me, I can tell you that. Besides, the beauty of this forum is that people can post wherever they choose (for the most part).

Why am I not surprised that Duck's comments strike you as having
been non-inflammatory? Or that you see no wrongdoing in Juve's
past? (Visit http://www.antijuve.com and weep, hunchbacks.) Or
that you see my defending the Roma forum from pompous self-
righteous c***suckers as a matter of preaching from a soap-box?

Could it be because your bianconeri eye-sight is a little . . . cloudy?
    Could be. Could be.

That's the only suggestion I could come up with off the top of my head. I've tried deflating this with levity (thanks for helping out, nicephoras :)) and a couple of PMs, but it seems to be persisting anyway.

I guess my only other suggestion is how about we just try to get the thread back on the topic.
