the two teams have come to an agreement over the amount of his transfer, emerson just has to accept: http://gazzetta.it/primi_piani/calcio/2004/pp_1.0.396193586.shtml 20.39 Roma, accordo col Real per Emerson Madrid offre 17 milioni, ma il giocatore vorrebbe la Juve ROMA - Accordo tra Roma e Real per la cessione del centrocampista brasiliano alla squadra di Madrid. "Abbiamo fatto un'offerta di 17 milioni di euro alla Roma. Verrà ratificata nei prossimi giorni, ma il club mi è sembrato contento e Baldini ci ha dato la sua parola", ha spiegato Bronzetti (rappresentante del Real Madrid), a Radio Radio. Ora resta da convincere il giocatore, intenzionato a rimanere in Italia e già d'accordo con la Juventus.
This is another solid step forward for Real, but I personally would rather have seen XAlonso - younger, Spanish, non-EU. Next on my list (after DMid): Chivu, Totti or Joaquin.
I also prefer Xabi Alonson over Emerson, but I am happy and rate him higher than other people on this board. Does he have an EU passport? I also want Chivu because he can play in both center and left side.
Oscar is referring to the agreement Emerson has with Juve - he's signed terms, although the two clubs have not come to an agreement. Juve are reportedly offering him more dough than he would earn at Real.
If this link says it's 17 million Euros is way too much for a player who is past his best, and who all the supporters of the selecao would like to see out of the national squad.
Basically that he doesn't give a flying poo what agreement Roma and Madrid have made about him, and that he would rather go to Juve
i'm relieved. i don't think they would have made any offer for Emerson if not for Roma's financial troubles. anyway, onward to bigger and better things.
