I think we have a good shot of pulling away this one as Roma has been struggling while have been collecting ourselves and winning. Maybe this time we have someone else with a hat-trick ;)

MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI knows it’ll be difficult, but wants to take all 3 points from the Olimpico.

Milan have never found it easy at Stadio Olimpico and on Saturday they head to Rome again from a clash with A.S. Roma of Luis Enrique, who currently sit 9 in the Serie A standing following a mid-week defeat.

The Rossoneri are coming off three consecutive victories and two hat-tricks, and while some would bet on another Milan hat trick, Coach Allegri knows the game against Roma will be tough but important.

“Tomorrow’s game will be anything but simple. Roma are playing very well,” Max Allegri told the press on Friday’s press conference. “They’re tough to play against and we’ll need a good performance both in terms of technique and dynamism. It’s a match that could be decisive for the title, a head to head.

“There are three points up for grabs tomorrow and we’ll be playing for our fourth win in a row. We have to get to the break in the best possible position on the table because we started a bit late this year.

“I think we’re on the right track but we need to eliminate the mistakes in the defense and when we’re building up the play. In order to win the title, you need the best or the second best defense in the league. Tomorrow, we know that it’ll be a different game (from Parma). We have to play it as best we can.”

Antonio Nocerino, who scored a hat-trick against Parma on Wednesday, is warned and if he picks another yellow he’ll be suspended (like Sandro Nesta), but he and Aquilani both will start. “Aquilani played a good game against Parma. He came close to scoring twice and brought order to our play,” the boss added.

“Antonio Cassano has done extremely well so far. He’s in good shape. He’s playing the best season of his career in terms of athletic intensity. Robinho has been a lot better in the last two or three days. I’ll decide tomorrow morning if he’ll start or not. Seedorf did well in training yesterday but having been out for 25 days, one training seems too little to call him up. Mexes has a small hand fracture and will be out for 1 week.

We have to get more points on the table. We’ve won against the smaller teams which is positive. That’s a very important point. We’ll have to do better in the head to heads in the second half of the season. What counts now is tomorrow. We need a positive result because it’s important for us,” Allegri concluded.

decent 1st half. Fast=paced game. I feel we need to control the ball a bit better and maybe introduce Cassano into the mix

    THAT WAS CLOSE!!!

If Nocerino put that one away....

Casssano deinitely adds a spark and Aquilani was good today. Hopefully KPB is OK.

    FORZA MILAN!!!

Man, Cassano could have had a hat trick within like ten minutes of coming on.
I am one of his biggest fans, but the one thing that drives me crazy about him is when he sometimes takes ludicrous dives when there is nothing between him and the goal. Just score, dude! Still, his movement and passing simply dismantled the gaps in Roma's defense and made Milan goals just a matter of time once he came on. Great sub by Allegri.

This is one of the best matches I have ever seen Aquilani play, by the way. He seems like a new man, finally ready to fulfill the potential of his youth. I guess that's what coming to a team of champions will do for a guy.

coming to a team like milan can make a player either realize their full potential or crumble underneath the pressure. (remember gilardino) but i agree aquilani was awesome, and cassano has really made himself important to this team. our defense has to get better though
