Sounds like he has a great attitude, but it's not good to hear that he's done very little training all this time. That's a long time to go without doing much training and one would think it will take him a good long while to get back into the swing of things.
SJ front office person - thanks for the interview. A lot of us are probably pretty curious about Faria's attitude and whether or not he will be in a position to contribute to the team before the end of the season. I agree that he probably will need several weeks just to get tuned up, but if he can get here soon and start scrimmaging and practicing finishing and stuff, he could be ready to play a role in the October matches and the Quakes' play-off run.
At this point, it's all about October. Could be a tremendous boost to have him match fit by a week or two from the end of the season. Often times people talk about not peaking too soon. If this adage holds true, then Faria could be the catalyst that takes the team to a new level. (Brown in NE last week for example, perhaps) Sounds like his head's screwed on right. Let's hope he can play up to his potential-we really miss Ching up front these days.
