Not posted elsewhere, but slightly old. Figured maybe someone might be interested, after all it does mentioned RRR hoping to enter MLS sometime. http://www.redding.com/redd/sports/article/0,2232,REDD_17596_4745141,00.html Here is the relavent part.... Rhinos at home in a rectangle ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Ragin Rhinos have a new stadium to kick off the new season. They open at home Saturday in a $40 million rectangular bowl built specifically for soccer. In the past, playing in a baseball stadium has had its drawbacks for the minor-league team. At a home game last season, the ball ricocheted off the temporary turf covering the infield dirt and popped over Scott Vallow's shoulder into the goal. The 12-team MLS is reserving its expansion list for teams with soccer-specific stadiums, and the Rhinos are hoping to move into that league some day.
Never mind, I found where someone else referenced it and a related article. http://www.democratandchronicle.com...?AID=/20060602/SPORTS05/606020397/1007/SPORTS Eh, so never mind.
