Wasn't Robinson likely to return this weekend, anyone know what the latest is?

The update still lists him as "out" with a strained hamstring. :(

Yeah, I just talked to Eddie at the Galaxy game, and he said in a few weeks. When he comes back, who will be sidelined? Waibel or Dunnivant?

I think it'll look like this:

    Dunnivant Agoos Dayak Robinson

or possibly instead of a flat 4 it could be:

    Dunnivant Agoos Robinson
    Dayak

I think Troy would be our best sweeper.

And Enforcer. Oh, he is that already. Love that shot of him spouting Ultra slogans at Ruiz.

Eddie's been saying that for weeks. As have Ian and J-Co. I'm not staking too much on this at this point. I'm starting to think it's the "standard answer."

    i think it will be:
    robinson dayak goose dunivant
mullan ekelund (when healthy) mulrooney corrales
    donovan ching

i think manny's the odd man out eventually. dunivant's earned his spot so he isn't going anywhere.

When he stopped by the tailgate and was asked what he thought of Eddie playing on the right, Cowboy said Eddie is not an outside player. He's not good at making runs with the ball.

Cowboy also said he doesn't mind playing on the outside. It's a position he's played before. So he's comfortable with it.

Thing is, I really hate to break up him and Goose in the center. I'd like to see Eddie on the outside. He can't be any worse than Craigy can he?

I really miss having Eddie on the field. But the team is winning. And I have a (small) feeling that Franky will be reluctant to break up Goose and Cowboy too. Or to make changes to a lineup that's working.

eddie will have to play his way back into the lineup, especially if the Quakes are still winning. i don't think he'll just be "given" a job.

but i'm starting to worry he won't be back for a good long while. same with ian. i don't know how long the Quakes can go with basically have little or no bench. sooner or later it will catch up to them.

Eddie is actually waiting for Bruce to release him so he can play and travel with the team. He said Monday that he felt good and he hopes to be released this week. He also mentioned that when he returns they have talked about Troy moving out to the side and him playing middle, but it is not a definite chenge, just being discussed.

During the preseason Frank put Dayak on the outside and Robinson inside with Agoos. So yeah, that's what I expect when Eddie is ready to go. He may well have to play his way back into the lineup, but then if Waibel hasn't been impressive in matches that might not be very hard.

It's also possible that Russell will get a look at the right side defender spot when he gets better. He played there during the preseason in a match or two.

One thing is certain. Next year Frank needs to draft a speedy right sided defender.

    GO QUAKES!!

If he gets healthy it won't take Waibel long to get a suspension for accumulated yellows and you will see Eddie in the middle and Troy outside.
