http://www.foxsportsworld.com/content/view?contentId=2397976 "Paul is the highest paid goalkeeper in England. We have made no secret that the wage bill at the club has to come down." Wow, I didn't know that... I thought for sure Given, or one of Chelsea/L'pool keepers were that highest paid...
You've got Leeds United in your team profile and yet are unaware of the policies of the Ridsdale era to give every player in their squad as much money as possible?? The statement that Robinson is the highest paid goalkeeper in the country is still perhaps a stretch on Krasner's part to save face for the fact that the fee they got from Tottenham is way below what their fans expected. He was on 23,000 a week, which is a fair whack, but I'm sure there have been keepers on more, or are at least still on comparable wages.
Robinson was at Leeds. The person who makes the tea there probably gets paid more than the players at most other clubs.
Actually Robinson wanted a new contract after PR left... He claimed he was promised one by the man himself but that was all moot once he stepped down... I knew he got one later on, just didn't know it made him the highest paid keeper...
