Jose Domene (sp) still in control for the short term. Long term decisions will be made after Oct 15.

ELAC I assume its to get the financing and exit agreements worked out by the lawyers and the league

Thanks for the heads up GM. Well that explains the current holding pattern with our club. They really can't make changes until Vergara truly takes control. I just pray that he doesn't return to the 2005 "culture war" that almost killed the team from the start. There is no need to manufacture an ethnocentric divide in MLS.

After the last home game, it already seems as if an ethnocentric divide is happening. I understand that Chivas USA is owned by Vergara and that it shares the name with Chivas G., however, that's really all it should do is share the name. I respect and admire every culture out there. I just find it rude and disrespectful to push towards one route over another. I mean the team is Chivas USA, embrace the fact that the USA is a hodgepodge of people, and embrace the fact that Chivas is located in LA, one of the biggest multicultural area in the nation.

I can put this simply in this sentence: If I want to watch a Mexican soccer team, I'll watch the Mexican soccer leagues.

Chivas USA was celebrating Mexican Independence day. In the past they had Armenia day, Armed Forces Day, ect. The club is trying to sell tickets anyway they can. I agree the club should embrace Los Angeles.

Yay! We almost tied...but not quite. 1-0 loss is our best result in weeks! Go Chivas USA!
