Not really man......all other clubs though have done something big for their signings....this was just here post practice media session. Not having the owner there too to discuss the signing again, something in Polish would've been great to the Polish people.....little things like that. Biggest signing in club history and that is what was rolled out. Either way end of day I'm excited to him play so let's gooo Fire.

The signing of a player of the caliber should be used to make everyone in Chicago feel a part of something bigger than just a sports team.

It would have robbed their goal, though. Joe seems like a private kinda guy and that spreads from the top down throughout the organization. It kind of strangles the club as a whole. Gregg is much better at it but he’s got a day job already.

After the billboards going up, and knowing the significance of a Big Bob signing, I think there were expectations of a bit more. Unfortunately we got a Shaqiri level presser...
While a Basti level media blitz seemed 'more appropriate'....maybe it's still coming?

I did like this tid-bit from the presser about 'legacy'...

Lewandowski’s signing has led to comparisons to global superstars such as Lionel Messi (Inter Miami CF), Son Heung-Min (LAFC) and fellow blockbuster summer arrival Antoine Griezmann (Orlando City), all of whom have been tasked with leaving lasting legacies at their respective MLS clubs.

It’s a responsibility he embraces with open arms.

In the end, titles are one thing,” said Lewandowski. “But also how you play for the people, for the fans.”

Stoichkov was bigger imo, but Lewandowski tops Blanco. Point taken though.

There are for sure some points of argument for Stoichkov being the biggest, but it’s not ‘clearly bigger’…in particular as strikers…goals!!!

Hristo Stoichkov is my all time favorite player. So much so as I named my dog Hristo Stoichpug (the fawn pug in my avatar).

Lewandowski is a much, much bigger signing.

I’m happy England lost too. I feel like the Proud Boys lost.

My uncle is reporting secondary market prices for our match with Miami in Chicago that I might actually consider selling and watching at home.

Pete (could pay for 2 years of season tickets selling that one game)

THIS is the way. With Messi participating in the final on Sunday the 19th and technically having a 10 day grace period (which he may or may not use) there's enough doubt on his participation that the cold hearted business move is sell the tickets and buy season tickets for next year with the dough. I mean, that's what I would do.

I spoke with a Fire player from the Stoichkov era. People were afraid of him. Even his teammates. Especially his teammates. Hwe was extremely sensitive about being beaten in practice. So much so he destroyed a college kids leg in a scrimmage.

I would be more upset if the final were in Europe or some far flung place but New Jersey? Hell it's right there at the end of a 3 hour flight.
