I don't see it happening. He was Spurs' best player last season, he plays the support striker role, which Tottenham have little cover for (as opposed to Defoe/Kanoute who are finishers), some Spurs fans on these boards would even like him as captain! Also, with the new leaf apparentlyu beign turned over at White Hart Lane, why would they sell one of their key players? Makes no sense.

    Maybe Santini doesn't rate him.

i read on the rivals site that 2,000,000 was mentioned as a fee. highly unlikely as i think robbie is getting better and the spurs love him. man city were probably just chancing their arm!

Would love to have him at City. Much underrated player, but just wonder how and why someone of his calibre ended up at Spurs.

Robbie would probably like playing under Keegan and we could expect a minimum of 20 league goals from the 8,627 chances created per season. Of course they would still end up with a deficit of around 67 in the goal difference column.
Have Celtic made any further advances for his services? That would appear to be a far more realistic route for him. It would certainly help the fans cope with Larsson's departure to a degree. I know they have Amoroso on trial at the moment, but they need another quality striker due to their injury list.
Santini may not fancy him, he have have someone else in mind for Spurs' forward line. Kanoute is already gone and apparently Rebrov is back and looking to prove himself! God only knows what will happen to Postiga, but Defoe will no doubt be the number one choice.

Celtic? Why would he want to move to an inferior league and end up playing 3-4 tough league games per year?

It's hard to tell what Santini will do. Maybe he will want to bring in some of his French guys. But moving to City would be a step down for Robbie.

How would that be a step down? Nice spanking new stadium, curly Kev in charge and of course it is a Massive club.

Moving to City would be a step down but moving to GLASGOW CELTIC would be a huge move up!

Sure, whatever you say. Because we all know playing the likes of Inverness and Livingston is a move up.

It would be a step down in so far as they're not as big a club as Spurs. Although I'd rather see him sign for them than Celtic.

For the love of God, I hope Keano doesnt go to Man City. He was spurs best player last year.
Although im a Celtic fan, I dont think it would be the best move for him to go to Glasgow. Like Father Ted said, you have 3-4 tough league games a year. However, you are Gaurenteed Champions Leauge every year.

What's the concern on tribalfootball.com? I've received some good early info from there in the past. However with that also comes a certain level of sh**e. Pretty much the same with any source.

Maybe Kevin Keegan and the Citeh board are sick of The Head Case aka Nicolas Anelka??? Keane has a great attitude and is quite popular. Heck, I love him even if he is on THFC.

I can't figure out why Anelka is so unbelievalby inconsistent. He is either deadly or a dud.

Keane will do well wherever he ends up. Maybe THFC new French gaffer is bent on making Kanoute THE man and doesn't want Keane interferring with good play? Who knows? lol.

Of course, I don't like THFC, but last time I checked they had more silverware than Citeh, right? Man City do have $$$ and a new beautiful stadium, but both clubs are about even as to their recent past success. MC has been up and down thru the divisions over the years, don't think THFC has been....not sure.

Just have to see how they both pan out this season.

That wont happen, and Kanoute might not even be around. He is made at Santini for never calling him up for a French cap. Keane and Defoe are going to be up front for Tottenham. I dont know if Citeh even has the money to bring him in.
